So far this season has been a bit disappointing. I'm not quite sure why. We've had heavy winds up here this season that thrashed the plants around a bit inside their cages. As said before, this spring / summer has been unseasonably cold. (It has warmed up lately and the wind has calmed down) Also the compost we started with this year was definitely a little hotter then last years.

If you look closely you can see chewed up leaves from the cages and wind.

They almost look burned but could be from hitting the cages.
All new growth is lush and green.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks guys.
We have been hit hard with wind this year.
I seem to have lost my early pics from 2015 but I just found some from 6-23-14.
This makes me feel a little better about their current status.

Later that same year, the same plants.

That year I didn't even feed them til late July. This year I ordered 20 pounds of max sea grow and 40 pounds of max sea bloom.
So far I've only fed twice in the last week. 300ml of grow to 200 gallons of water, which is really light. I didn't want to hit them to hard until they had adjusted better.

Not too worry, you guys get some difficult weather up there throughout the year. They will take off soon enough. Just think now you will get bark on the branches and the stalk

Yes straight compost..

I've been getting my dad all moved out of his house and his stuff in storage this week. Ha has to be out by the 1st. Sold his house and he's moving to Florida, did I mention he is crazy?

The wife's plants are going in today. Her plants are bigger than mine. Probably from being in the small greenhouse / cold frame.

A little bit not terrible but definitely need cages on our plants we are putting in or they'd get blown over.

Thanks getawaymountain, you and your family are killing it this year..!!

I'm going to have to step up my game next year.
Hopefully I won't have so much other stuff to do.
thanks for the props and the heated greenhouse sure is paying for itself now this season the big furnace we put in and the rocks sure made a big difference a buddy of mine went and used straight crab compost and cooked his whole garden of alot of 4 ft plants i gave him the place he got it said it wasnt hot ( they lied ) hate to see that shit happen to anyone

Mount Abraham has been on fire for 5 days now.

You wouldn't know it though..... Our stupid news won't say a thing about it on the news.
Anywhere else, they would and use that as a public service announcement about fireworks and how dry it is.
