They aren't as bad as you might think.

Do you already know what's wrong with them?

If not, can you provide some info like what kind of lights, what strain, what kind of soil, what you mixed in the soil, how much if any nutrients have you given and whether you are using RO or tap water? Temps and humidity would be good too.

I'd bet you can get that plant turned around faster than starting a new one and if you don't know what's wrong with it how would you avoid the mistake when you start over? At least if you figure it out you can decide to start over with a fresh healthy plant and know what you had wrong the first time around.

huh...I was going to say it looks like you added nutes to hot soil...leaves are clawing.

But I am no expert...my headband is very finicky, I have been playing with diluting FFOF soil with coco, as it is too hot for the headband...but then I do not start feeding before I get multiple deficiencies...buds are still good, but sometimes the finish is prettier than others:-|

I would not give anything but water until the leaves relax.

First things for first thanks everyone for ur advice and input, Sorry i should have provided a bit more detail im just using some cheap soil from the dollar store just a basic peat moss, vermeculite and perlite mix so i dont think there was much nutrients, the one in the first pic is g13 x buddha and the one in the second pic is lowryder #2, they are both five weeks old. I didnt first start feeding them till the 3rd week and it was every other feeding. but then week 4 i noticed the leaves were yellowing but i couldnt decide if it was a result of to much nutrients or not enough, at first the beginning of week 4 i fed them nutes once but decided to just switch to water. I have been using distilled water the whole time. They are growing under 150 watts t5 fluorescents and i have a fan on low most of the time as for temperature im not to sure of that.

hey hayduke what did u mean by "looks like you added nutes to hot soil" sorry im a newbie so you'll have to forgive me for my dumb questions. Im hoping your right about the water im just worried about the upper leaves cuz they look all clawy and scrawny

i havent really been checking cuz iv been using distilled water and i havent gotten around to getting a ph meter yet

i dont thinks its the water cuz distilled normally has a neutral ph, but good call on the roots i went to check right after i read the post and i definetly need to transplant them into something bigger very soon the pots i have them in now are only 8" so im hoping to get some bigger pots friday.

Okay....it's overfed. Choking sorta speak....switch to just plain water. Your plant tells the tale, it had a slight N defeciency so you fed it, and fed it and fed it again (every other watering) when it would've been fine with one good feeding at that size. Now your new growth look N toxic ("The Claw"/Very dark and curled under) and your bottom leaves look N deficient. Those leaves won't get better so if you feed trying to get those leaves to turn back green you'll overfeed your plants. They turn yellow and they don't turn back. If the N defeciency were still present the yellowing would spread really fast, it won't reverse on leaves that have already been affected.

A transplant may be in order althought it's going to shock the plant even further if you transplant into a good organic soil with no nutrients or other shit in it they will easily recover from the overfeed as they use up that excess N on growing into their new homes. A good transplant with a healthy watering and then leave them alone for a couple of days and you'll see them turn around.

ive never had a plant get shocked on a transplant, as long as u do it right it should be shock free

Agreed again, I just transplanted myself today and I'm doubting there will be any "shock" from it. Doesn't make any sense the whole "shock" thing.

Thanks for the info/advice laserbrn I will re-pot the girls into something much bigger so i dont have to re-pot again or at least for awhile, and put them in organic soil. will the leaves eventually unclaw?

I meant it looked as though your soil had some organic material (nutes)...some have more than others...lots of nutrients = "Hot". Most potting soils have added nutrients, because it is intended for a plant that will spend it's whole life in a pot. Really cheap garden soils usually use Urea as the source of Nitrogen and can be a little harsh. I use fox farm ocean forest, and I find that it is too "hot" for the strains that I grow...If I do not cut it with something else (like coco coir) I get too much Nitrogen and maybe even too light on the P & K...really not sure.

Anyhow it seems like the skinny curled leaves are a response to stress of some sorts...It is likely not caused by a single factor, and not knowing what for sure, I would not do anything rash...I think that with plain water and low heat the plant will slowly relax, but this may take a couple of weeks, do not flower her until she is back to normal if possible...I have and it seems to end up stunted. Also it is likely that it will come back after you go to flower. Do not over water during this, but more and more I find MY plants are actually happier if they do not receive a severe drought twice a week:?.

Anyhow, that is what I meant...I do NOT know if this is the problem, but his is what I would do, and what I have done...I HAVE seen the clawing relax, though I have also seen it remain through flowering. I have also only personally seen it in OGK/ChemDawg strains.

Next grow spend 20 bucks on a bag of decent potting mix and some perlite

edit: oops forgot to read all of page 2...nice post laserbrn

Thanks Hayduke, now i understand what you meant. i thought the soil i bought was shitty cuz it was from the dollar store but it actually contains horticultural humus so i guess theres is a fair bit of nutritional value in the soil. The only good thing about making as many mistakes as i have so far is Iv all learned from them and will not be so foolish next grow. Lol the one main thing iv learned is its easier to just start off with a bigger pot and not have to re-pot again then having to re-pot several times. I put my plants in bigger containers so the roots will have tons of space to grow out. Hopefully my g13 buddha unclaws but yeah i definitely will not flower her till she is looking much healthier and bigger. the first three weeks i was watering small amounts twice a day but people told that twice a day was to much ironically my plants were doing much better then although i suppose thats just coincidence
