Making Glass Pipes

Hey, tried searching the forums for some info on this subject and didnt find anything so... I am looking for a good site, and or video that are free... that can show/teach me how to make a glass pipe at home with a torch and some glass Please help me out if you can, i would really appreciate it. Never tried to make a glass pipe for weed before man, wish I could help.

I've been trying to join a glass blowing class to learn glass blowing... I figure blowing a bong isn't much different from blowing a thin vase...
look up regular glass blowing not specifically for smoking related shit.

i used to make wooden pipes but i dont no 2 much about makin glass pipes. i try to look for some videos for u

i've been waiting for this thread. they sell glass blowing supplies at my local head shop but they keep it all hush-hush. no books, no torches, no info. just glass tubes and rods. i've asked several times how to get involved and they just smile and shrug. i guess they have a few exclusive blowers. i've looked up torches online and to get a nice one, to do marbles and what not on your pieces, they cost a $1000+. you can get a basic torch for a few 100. i think if i go to my local welding shop i could find cheaper torches.

I know someone who blows glass.
She smokes and has made bowls.

Apparently it has alot to do with having a precise temp.

my reason: i have a creative mind and i need to set it free.

And making your own pipes and bongs would be a fun hobby and you can make your own crazzy ass bongs however you want... you can even sell them to close friends or give them to your friends

hey man,did anyone ever find out how to began?.
i finally found a instructor,1on1 for 2hours for 140$ down in san diego does that price sound right?.
if so i plan on start seeing this guy 2times a week starting next month(after i get sum of my growing supplys done).
i was wondering whats the requirements if i was eventually wanting to do this at home?
can anyone explain sum of this stuff to get?,like where could i place the furnance? etc or a website related to what i want to do.

Mapp Gas is best for small torches, its fast! propane takes too long, Ive tried useing propane and fucked up

I've looked into glass blowing. Unless you have over $1000 to spare, stay away!

Cheap practice:

Glass(Pyrex/Hard)
There is a pack of paperes called "savour" has one paper in it about 1.50+tax

Torch:

If you can find in your area a wal-mart with a glass bead making kit about 20 bucks,
or go to the hardware store and pick up mapp gass and a torchc for it again 20buck but no cool glass tools and rods ect

Man I learned this from some meth-smokers..

1 melt the tubes tip closed
2get about 3/4inch red at the end and blow softly in other end (eye protection)
3 find steel cone heat it up red too and press the bowl into the pipe
4 place on warm metal to cool

but I saw that usually a good basic setup was 800 or 1000 bucks so... it's on hold for now lol...

To think that you can just pick up a torch and some glass and blow a pipe is what I would call a "pipe dream".
It takes alot more than that to make a pipe. A kiln, glass supplies and a torch are a first step. Someone to teach you would be good also.
With no tools how would you expect to push a bowl? Or do anything else that make a pipe usable?
If you are so creative I would say you need to put your store bought pipe down, clear your head and take a logical approach. Go to your local community college and see if they offer a course in LAMPWORKING. Or you can ask if they teach how to blow pipes. Dont think it would get you far.
Wake up and smell the refer little buddy. Use your creativeness to figure it out.

And dont listen to people like this if you want to learn the true art of glass blowing. I would say if you learned that from some meth smokers you were probably joing them.
