Making hash with a silk screen..

Saw a vid online about making hash with a silk screen. The guy said to use frozen plant matter/bud before sifting through the silk screen. Does it need to be frozen? Can I just ground up an oz. of bud and sift it that way?

Also if there is any other kind of way to get hash using smaller amounts of buds, let me know!

Also I found a recipe for grinding up bud and then put a bit of vodka/high proof alcohol in it and form together and let dry. This isn't hash right? I tried it and it burns quick but put me to sleep.

For the cleanest hash or in this example keif the bud is frozen because you only want the end of the trichomes to break off and go through the screen. By grinding up the bud or working it too long it's going to let more plant matter through the screen and be less concentrated.

For alcohol extraction with something like 151 rum or vodka I'm not too sure because I've never had a desire to do it. Make sure you stick to clear liquor because it has less other stuff in it.

Dry the trim 100% fully. Then freeze it, then kif it.

If you freeze straight off the plant, then try to kif it, it wont work very well because there is too much frozen matter.

can trim be bud? All I have is bud. And by Trim you mean sugar leaves, right?

I don't have that much trim (or any)! Is it worth it to convert 1 oz into screen hash, or can it even be done with bud?

yeah you can do it with bud it would just be like shaking it in a wikka box if you use bud you could probably smoke it fter you kief it. it just wont be as good

so I still need to grind it or no? Just break it up good? Freeze them?

i would grind it up nice how you normally would. yeah and make sure they are super dry cause if its moist the water will freeze also and will make the trichs attach. i have a wikka box and shake my bud both ways. ill shake it when i first get it in nugs and get some kief and then before i smoke it i grind it up and shake it again to grt more kief. then i smoke the bud. do you will enjoy everything you can even just put kief you get ontop of the bowls you load

the dry ice method does work, but you have to be careful, you can give the product a freezer burn taste, also if you go too long you are just braking down the plant matter so its small enough to get through. so dont shake too much and dont use too much dry ice.

the end product isnt really "hash" either, its smkeable and gives a mellow high, but its not hash as most people know it.

any special way to freeze weed? zip lock bag?

a wikka box is just a box that has a mesh screem and a kief collector at the bottom. i love mine they have all different sizes from ones that fit in your pocket to ones that you can probably put a ounce in at a time. its ether wicca box or wikka box. i think they had some legal issues so idk what they are now
i would just zip lock bag it and try to get as much air out as you can vaccum would probably be ideal but zip lock should work fine

Hash is good, it goes past the normal high into the super saiyan high.
