making stuff from the stem fibers

how do you go about making stuff like wallets and and purses from the stems of the plants because it's supposed to be like the strongest natural material in the world...

hemp . . . well it's 2 parts. the thread part and the white part, the thread part can be used for ropes and textiles and stuff, the white part can be used for making paper, with NO chemicals.

I've heard this is done by soaking the hemp in water for a few days or idk how long. there's most definitely techniques to this process that google would yield in seconds.
