Florida... better you than me man... I grew up down that way. I try not to go East of the Mississippi if possible... But I was down there myself a few months ago for a conference in Tampa... :spew: I would appreciate the recipe if you get a chance, thanks.

I was in Orlando. I'll take Tampa over Orlando any day. Nothing worse than spending 3 days in a conference facility in the middle of the swamps.

I'll post the creepers recipe this weekend. I will also update the tincture recipe with the pictures that were lost. I rarely smoke anymore so pretty much all my plants get converted to hash for tincture and creepers. I do save a few choice flowers to share with friends though...

Medshed, +ups on the tincture recipe. We need to have a Boulder County meetup/goodie swap this spring. Any interest, folks?

Any particular style hash recommended, bubble, wax flake etc? I was thinking 6 grams of hash, How long do you think your recipe lasts an individual considering a 4 drop nightly regimen? I want the strongest option for sleep!

Chewberto - I just looked back at my current recipe and I am using 6 grams if 73 micron ice water extraction (AKA bubble) hash. That is what comes to about 5 mg THC per drop.

An ounce is 50 ml and there are about 20 drops per ml.

How would this work in comparison to say a deca dose cheeba chew? I am not very savy on mg and edible talk! I don't care for edibles myself but I see these deca doses that are like 280mg of thc do these numbers equate the same?

If they call 280 mg a decadose then one dose would be 28 mg. That is about 6 drops of tincture, which is a good starting dose. Edibles dosing is very specific to the individual. I always recommend starting with a single dose (6 tincture drops) and working up from there. I do 20-30 drop doses lately but I started at around 4 drops.

So your tolerance goes up with the drops?

Yep. I feel like my tolerance shot up in a fairly short period of time. I had never done edibles much before I started using the tincture regularly so maybe it is just the way things work with edibles and tolerance.

As you ramp up usage your tolerance goes up also. I currently am eating just under a gram of honey oil a day, taking 5 capsules of raw dry bud, many tincture hits, and I vape all day long.

There is no more buzz thats for sure but Im not into it for that anymore.

Are you boiling off the alcohol and thus transferring the goodies to the glycerine? I've done Master Wu's alc extraction, and its great, but the idea of capturing all the goodness without the sting and taste of ethanol seems quite appealing...

That's exactly right BlueRoux. This method combines the efficiency of alcohol extraction with the taste of glycerine suspension. After boiling all the alcohol off you are left with a goo that you then stir your glycerine in with. Heating up the glycerine suspends the good stuff from the trichomes in the glycerine. Then you filter out the trichome "casings" to leave a nice tasting tincture with no chunks.

I finally got around to shooting some new pics this weekend when I made a new batch of Apollo 13 BX tincture. I'm going to start a new thread with pics and ask Trueno to make that one a sticky instead. The pics really help understand the process.

I just happened to be on here when you posted the new one, no time like the present (which is hilarious cause i am bad about procrastinating).
Thanks for the awesome update. I didn't go through the pictures too much, but i read it through and it was great, although i think i can make some killer dry sift now (take the dry ice out before you shake) that might be worthy of this recipe.
