Male Clone Turns Female

:leaf:I took a clone from a male plant meant for breeding purposes and this morning it decides to go female. My question is whether i should still use the pollen or is it gonna give my new batch of seeds traits that i dont want such as hermaphroditic tendencies

also having some leaf problems dont know whats going on with her im in week 2 of flower i have her in 50/50 mix of FF ocean forest and light warrior i feed every other watering with big bloom and tiger bloom

PH is at 6.5
i use regular tap water thats been sitting out for a couple days
temps are between 73 during lights out and low 80s during lights on
RH is at 43 percent
all these leaves came from the same plant

Yeah brother, it is rare. This is probably the third time I've read about it happening in 12 years.

just because you leave your tap water out doesnt mean its all gud. if its hard water all the build up will not evaporate. check the tds of your tap water. i fucked up a couple grows with sum hard water

did you kill the male itself and keep the clone only? that must be a male genetic hermie. In the last few months i have heard that some breeders really really want them. i dont exactly understand why but these were a few people i trust quite a bit who told me this after i responded to another male genetic hermie thread where i told the guy to kill it. I would look into it a bit more if i was you, if its true killing them could be costly mistake(along with all the times ive told people to just kill them, lol). well, ive been looking a bit as i forgot about it till i saw this thread and ive seen it repeated(what i was told) but im thinking it may be a myth as so far none of the places i checked explained WHY. Update-Alright, im pretty sure its garbage, the person everyone keeps quoting(or quoting other people who are quoting this guy) says 1. He doesnt like to use chemicals to make a plant hermie, because its not natural. 2. He then says that using a male hermie is superior for that reason. 3. Then he says using male hermie pollen equals more females but provides no reasoning, much less evidence for it.

hmmm interesting. by male hermie does that mean a male plant that turned female?

yah i put the original plant to rest but i still have the clone... i will definately keep the clone and look into it some more sounds interesting.
im planning on breeding it with another clone 100% female so far. now that i think about i should test that theory do a side by side comparison with seeds that i make from the hermie and regular ones see if it really does make more females....... now im excited
