Manitou Springs to open 2 retail stores.

Even if the mayor didn't vote for it, he is standing behind the people. Passed 6 to 1
His speech was amazing...Google it. Worth the effort.
So our town will be the only one in a large area to have retail. Right now it's 42 miles to Pueblo or 64 miles to Denver to find the nearest retail..
We could sure use the money after the floods and the fires.
Of course now ..seeing all the money coming in Colorado springs is thinking of having a re-vote.
But still my town rocks.
And if your caught street peddling...guess what it's called ? Guess ?
It's called selling without a license. That's it..( Unless it's to minors or large amounts )

Oh man, if those stores open before the springs city council gets their heads out of their asses and fast tracks rec sales, then those two stores are going to get mobbed for months on end. They should make them as big as wal-marts, seriously. Colorado springs is a depraved and repressed hive of scum and villainy. I lived there for 6 years, worked downtown at a law firm.

Good for Manitou Springs! Hope they use some of the money to build parking spots.

Colorado Springs wants to spend almost 200 million on sports arenas and crap ...yet they can't even afford to water the local parks.
And yeah we could use some more parking..free parking...many tourist either leave immediately or never return due to the stupid parking kiosks and lack of parking all together.
Maggies Farm is opening a store right next to Highway 24 by Loaf and Jug in that old muffler shop.
We need to do something..even Adams Mountain Cafe is leaving. A lot of stores are vacant or leaving...Dulcimer shop...even the bottling plant is closed.
Stupid floods and fires.
With out fresh blood..Manitou is going to die a slow death.
Remember we are under a flash flood advisory for the next 10 years...
Flood and wild fire insurance is either non exsitant or so expensive people are leaving in droves...you should see all the For Rent and For Sale signs.

Maniou is in serious need for parking. Thats why I never go there and I love eating out.
