Marijuana Buds Dying From The Bottom UP

I'm 6 weeks into flowering, and out of 40 plants 6 are different. I use rockwool in a 4x8 flood table, I flood 4 times a day. The flood takes 20 minutes to fill and drain. I just noticed on the 6 that the buds on the lower branches have turned Super hard, Dark brown, and smell like death= decomposing. I am wondering if they a root locked, The colas on these 6 are deffinetly not as devoloped as the other plants. I also am wondering If the Top of the plant is feeding off the bottom since it can not uptake nutes from the roots. Does that mean I need to chop the tops now before the rest of the plant dies and/or before the plant starts uptaking decomposing plant matter. This is only a theory I am having about what is going on. Ph is 5.8/ ppm is 1240. i am using G.H. flora, super thrive and using Bud Blaster. Any Ideas is much appreciated.

Post pictures or search for pictures of "bud rot" and see if that's what you have. If so it's a fungus that can kill your entire crop. It can even eat all your buds after harvest while they are drying.


Whatever you do handle them as if it was bud rot and don't do anything that's going to spread the spores around if it is. Even bump the plant and spores go all over, so be careful.

i would cut off all effected areas.. it's not going to be any good to smoke and it will spread if you don't..
make sure your airflow is not letting it get too humid..

get rid of the rotting buds and hope that you don't loose your whole crop. extra fans will help.
