Yeah that would do it! It's definitely not placebo as Crypt seems to insists towards, I have smoke catnip a decent amount of times now and 3 varieties total and only the 2 that I am growing now got me high, one of the varieties much less than the other though.. A cool side note also, I recently got the first hemorrhoid of my life from well, abusing pills, It was pretty swollen and painful, as soon as I hit the catnip I noticed a major difference in pain level of the hemorrhoid and swelling went down a noticeable amount!

i have catnip growing for my cats and i have yet to see a "bud"
catnip flowers under long day periods. opposite of how cannabis flowers under short day periods. Catnip requires long days around 14+ hours of light to bloom.
This is because catnip flowers in the summer after the vernal equinox, while short day period plants such as cannabis flower as the autumnal equinox approaches.

Typical curve for daylight hours in the year.

I have not insisted towards anything besides nothing is proven. :)

Youre welcome. This is a great tool for finding the daylight hours of any latitude. :http://astro.unl.edu/classaction/animations/coordsmotion/daylighthoursexplorer.html

I got cats and grow Cat Powder(Actinidia polygama) and Japanese Catnip(Jing Jie) as well as a variety of American Catnip Strains. The Cat Powder is the cocaine of cat drugs. Popular in asia and also a great ornamental vine, commonly referred to as Silver Vine. Also the Cat Powder flowers turn into fruits similar to kiwi after pollination.

Edit: They say 2 out of 3 cats respond to american catnip. But I have yet to find a cat that gives a shit about Japanese Catnip. Might be a waste of money if you buy it for your cat.

have got catnip seeds, but i havent yet found a place to grow them as the cats find them always and rip them to shreds (in a purry growly ecstasy)
as soon as they sprout (really guilty look though everytime i tell them , hey wait a bit and you can have anytime you want lol)

eh,maybe ill clear a space in flowering for it, love to see the cats do that, though watching a cat with dribble of saliva down to his legs on youtube(thick bubbly foamy stuff with the cat halflooking like he´s giggling in a daze)
and i think maybe i better put out really big plastic sheets if i ever do grow that much :D

Without using google, I believe Some cats have a certain genetic component that allows them to feel the effects of catnip. Some cats are completely unaffected. Perhaps it's due to this that catnip affects (assuming it is possible) vary from person to person. Someone more well versed on this can either back up or refute this ^

I stand by my opinion it's a good mixer, as the common practise over here is to mix weed with tobacco. And if it tastes good... Well, what are cigars for?

I'm sorry but to me the idea of smoking catnip is absolutely absurd. I'm not going to criticize anyone for doing so, i'll just stick to fine cannabis, hash, oil, and butter. :)

LOL When it's said that there is no scientific documentation that catnip effects humans at all, that means that there are no research showing that it crosses the blood–brain barrier and acts upon the central nervous system where it affects brain function, resulting in changes in perception, mood, consciousness, cognition, and behavior, at all.

So assuming it does effect humans, it would have to be in a way besides this. It is shown that the above effect, psychoactivity, is absent, so if it were to effect humans, and vary, it would effect something besides the CNS. Endocrine for example.

It's a pretty sweet plant. Leaves are shiny in veg. Very reflective, almost looks silver. Cats will rub up on the leaves and destroy the plants just like regular catnip. The fruits high in vitamin C :D, but here is some more information on the plant:

The Silver Vine (Actinidia polygama) is used horticulturally but some some gardeners no doubt get a bit of a surprise when they find that cats are "put into such a frenzy by the plant that they sometimes tear the plants to pieces." (This is what the Encyclopedia of Horticulture says about the plant.) It is reported that the twigs and young leaves of the plant have been used for centuries in the orient to tranquilize large cats in zoos. But it appears that felines were not the only ones on whom "cat powder" had an effect. The powdered plant used to be added to saki to increase the effects of the alcohol. (You yourself are likely to have eaten the fruit of a different Actinidia. The Latin name for the Kiwi fruit is Actinidia deliciosa.) One of the major physiologically active ingredients in the Silver Vine is actinidine. An additional compound (dihydroactinidiolide) in it, that also is a cat attractant, has been found as a trace compound in black tea, cured tobacco, heated mango and the red imported fire ant!
(I've had relatives that consumed a tea blend with catnip in it. It was a night time tea, if there is such a thing. Assuming the caffeine didn't effect you, supposedly the catnip was supposed to knock you out.)
