Health Canada claims to know a lot about Marijuana when they have bad things to say about it, but when asked about it’s efficacy, they claim there aren’t enough scientific studies to confirm that.

Also, every few days on Twitter, some idiot will challenge me when I say that Marijuana is safe and effective, or that it cures cancer. Then I have to spend ten minutes posting a bunch of links to articles explaining the science.

So I decided to just put them all in one link. Enjoy.

I am going to stop you here: Be very, very careful with any claims that marijuana "cures" cancer.

Words have meaning. And in medical circles you undermine any argument as soon as you try to claim that anything "cures" cancer. In the medical world cancer is not "curable" it is only ever "treated" and in remission.

Just FYI. Otherwise - great job, lots of interesting links. I will take a look at some of the peer reviewed ones later.

You forgot that in the 1800 and 1900 they sold cannbis medicine and the American gov have patents on two medicinal strains. So Miss Ambrose do you really think the Canadian people are that stuned that we don't keep up with what's going on in other parts of the world that are not ruled by a useless self surving government like we have in Canada right now!

Health canada and our government have always just hoped that our education system is worse than our health system. Keep people uninformed and more likely to do what they say.
Now that the average person cares and knows more about their own health than ever, hc and the college of physicians is scared.
Less sickness equal less health card swipes. Nothing else matters

Health minister is a tramp sickens me how they can say its bad and not enough studies are done .. anyone can simply say then what gives you a right to say its Bad if its not studied ..
The problem is they will not have control and that is what there worried about if it ever goes legit it will be a new born regulator and health Canada will have little to say

Funny thing is that there are synthetic phama thc/CBD drugs that are approved, but the natural raw plant does not have any medicinal properties. WTF. So pharma thc good, Mother Nature thc bad? What an idiot.

she said no one gave HC the studies and that's why they have never looked at them. when asked why she never did any, she replied "it's not my job"
i wonder to to get in front of a camera and give those sites and studies and then email a copy to Ms Ambrose...then she can no longer say some didn't give them the studies and it will be documented on video via the news kind of thing...then a few months later, go back on camera and ask if there is any progress.
