Marijuana Withdrawal Symptoms?

Hi guys,

I've been smoking for 13 years now ( about 2 grams per day with 25-30% tobacco mix).
I went to my lung doctor last week and he told me that I have to stop smoking if I don't want to make my asthma worse. Also I feel very lazy and I don't get shit done so I think quitting and becoming an occasional pot smoker in the future makes the most sense for me.
It has been 4 days since I quit and I still have "withdrawal symptoms" ( I know it sounds stupid ) such as:

  • Difficulty sleeping: I feel tired but I can't sleep properly... it takes me hours sometimes to fall sleep.
  • Strange Dreams: I dream of video games I played or I have horrible nightmares about my girlfriend being injured and other crazy stuff. Also I had dreams of smoking weed a few times.
  • No appetite: I literally only eat 2 eggs and a few peanuts in the past 4 days - that's it.. I feel like the food has no taste whatsoever and i always feel full. I'm honestly starting to get worried since I already lost 3KG.
  • Anger issues: I get irritated very easily and it feels like I'm looking for confrontation to let out my anger... I feel really bad about that because I'm usually not an angry or vengeful person :(
  • Restlessness: Shaking my legs all the time feelings unease with myself.

I wanted to know if this is normal? Has anyone experienced something similar than me? Or am I just losing my mind? lol

Thanks for the help :)

Sleeping, are you watching TV/Ipad/Phone before bed? Stop about 2 hours prior, something about the blue lights will keep you up. Weed helps you sleep I find.

Strange Dreams, might be because your not getting as much sleep as you need?

The last three should wear off, a lot might just be boredom and frustration from not smoking the nicotine I would bet.

Sounds more like nicotine withdrawal to me.

Cannabis is habit forming, not addictive.
I've bee smoking for 47 years, never had any "withdrawal" during my breaks.
I flat out disagree with this. A few days are OK, but then it kicks into another gear... Sure it is not like fiending after your crack runs out... but it is pretty uncomfortable to the ones of us, who have this happen to them.
I know I am not alone.

I've had a number of serious addictions in my life, they are all different, even in the way the urge feels or how they compel you. All of them would override common sense at the wink of an eye.

Thanks for all the answers - I appreciate everyone's feedback and assistance (except blake9999 his comment was just pure troll and toxic)
Maybe it is nicotine withdrawal didn't think about that... but usually people who quit cigarettes gain an increased appetite not the other way around?

Could it be a change in your dietary habits?

Where have you been for four years?

I believe you are done with the worst! Soon you should start pulling out of the funk.

Experienced many of the same symptoms when I've stopped.

Good advice already from others...
I avoid anything with nicotine.
That could be compounding the situation for sure.

In 25yrs i think ive gone 3 days without smoking..i got all the same symptoms with added mild headaches. Im sure they would have stopped after awhile. But you have to consider everything..like the tobacco others have stated, your diet has changed and could be affecting etc etc. You can do edibles to sleep at night and microdose edibles during the day . I hear microdosing edibles is the best way
