You can use that if you have the 12V power source to run it off of. I am not saying it is the best but it will work. I have heard of worse setups being used and working so if you want to do it or if you think it is the best you can do or it will just fit your setup the best go with it as long as it will move as much air as you need to move.

Anything that moves enough air will work. If you have a retarded brother or kid or something that you can get to stand there with a fan or a bellows and blow air all day that will work too of if you have some pet you can train to run on a treadmill and have a fan blade attached to spin you can do that too just as long as it is enough air.

There is no singular correct or absolutely best answer for every grow situation. You use what works for you and what fits your budget and you have easy access to.

I have read about people with a basement full of plants that run fans that will move like 10,500 cubic feet of air per minute and people with computer case or small cabinet grows using a single computer fan. So you look at your needs and your budget and what you have access to and you pick the best you can for your particular situation and you go with it. If it turns out later that it does not move enough air you add another or you upgrade to something that moves more air.
