The GOP is against the legalization of pot, look at Florida and Maine as examples where they thwarted the will of the people, Mitch McConnell is against legalization too. A big problem with the Russian election/social interference is people being tricked into believing that the people they 'talk' to everyday and talk/watch politics stuff with online are who/what they say they are. That they trust are not being fed garbage information to them that was designed to trigger anger responses and make it impossible to talk to people anymore without escalating tempers and people turning into trolls.

Instead the Russians (and other foreign countries) are using their military to attack our forums with a constant barrage of trolls cat fishing us spreading lies and propaganda, setting up websites that looks like it is news (like OANN) but really is just a clever disinformation site that contains a bunch of seeminly random news stories, but nothing is posted that upsets their narrative or talks shit about their Dear Leader.

Then to up the google score on their garbage websites, they link them around the internet in forums like this driving up the traffic to those sites and 'liking' or commenting on thread/actual news stories so that the story they want to be reported on the news seems so popular it is put onto TV and becomes real to millions of Americans.

Anyway, how do I think this would affect Rollitup.org? If for some stupid reason congress though it would be a good idea to force Facebook to fact check every post and that social media sites (which this is) would have to do it too, it would suck, because there are obvious trolls that pop up on here and having to fact check them would really be a never-ending thing.

I more was thinking though just to get some people talking about this and how to actually stop all the cat fishing that is currently being not only allowed but invited by Trump. There is not a easy fix to this, everything is infected with these trolls, they are even targeting kids on video game chats.
