Master Kush. I Need Advice With Scrogging This Beast! 400 W HPS "Master" Piece

Hey guys i am posting up my master kush baby in here in hopes to get some more advice on the strain. She is pretty easy going right now. just establishing a new root system in a bigger pot. She is getting her knots on her meristem. DOES ANYONE HAVE A RECOMMENDED VEG TIME BEFORE FLOWERING??? She is growing very fast and i want as big a yield as possible. Im thinking ONLY LST but should i scrog this bitch to? i have the tools and necessary requirements for the build. but i will need lots of advice if anyone wants to give it on how to manipulate the canopy. here are my pics so far

maximize the yield? go with scrog. Im doing one right now, i dont find it that hard. you just need some extra time everyday cuz u have to tuck em under the screen during first couple weeks of flowering.

Do U flip right when it touches the screen or after you've started weaving the colas

well i finally put up my scrog. here are the pics of my five beauties.

Check out the scrog guys. its actually going really well. did some trimming today to start upward growth. the master kush was the first to hit the screen so she is just takin off into the chicken wire. my purple buds have been FIMd and are currently starting to produce colas and more tops to fill the screen. this purple bud stretches like a rubber band sometimes. i think its cuz i forget to add more nitrogen in the soil. i just use the FFOF for the month then start slowly easing into the flowering nutes. anyways here are my updates. anyone following along is welcome to post.

Chicken wire is a good idea

I personally have never gotten into the specifics of scrog. and i was thinking about doing 1 plant scrog under a 400w cooltube in my 2x2x5 tent.... thought that would be pretty cool could get some fat nugs.

Though I had the same questions to myself about the specifics of the weaving techniques... Personally I use a lot of zip ties to pull branches down to the ground... They work really well because they easily adapt to the plant growing but keep it looping around... I could take some pics of my little shit if you want just for ideas on keeping those main branches down tighter when they get bigger.


If it were me, id probably flip to flower whenever you feel they are at the size you want them..... just be sure to make the call that they are going to stretch, and you are going to want to weave them for the first 15-20 or so days to keep the height down and the canopy even..



Pretty much the best advice I can give you, I figured I'd drop something as not many are in here yet..

chicken wire was deff a good idea, but i think you should lst (low stress train) at the same time, in my opinion it will make the chicken wire more usefull. since you will have more tops. just sayin.

Yes it does. I lst'd before I put up the screen. Well everyone. Sub up I'm gonna be flipping the light next week sometime. I figure bythen my babies will have had enough time to resituate in their pots after transplant and on top of that my screen will be full.

If some can pull 3.5oz dry from one plant with a 150hps with MASTERKUSH genetics.

Think about a 400w HPS. six oz would be spectacular

I'm still wondering what I'm going to pull from my 250w... even though my plants got mutilated early flower. Could be quite a lot....

How much height are you working with?


And last question for myself, what length is that cooltube? I want to put a cooltube with 400w / 6 inch inline... into my 2x2x5.3ft grow tent...... most cooltubes I see are like 25-27 inches, tooo big, my tent is only 24 inches wide!

I would say it's the perfect time to flip with the light distance but I fear the two middle plants will got swallowed up by the others already through the screen. It's too bad you couldn't move them to the far left and put the two on the left now in the middle and give them a little more time to reach the screen.

That way the ones already through the screen can be trained further down the screen without covering the two middle plants. IMO

Well they will stretch like crazy in the next 10 days. So hopefully they will have reached the screen enough. I have about another 20-25 inches of light room though so if they stretch to much I can just lift the light

I think this cooltube is like 24" or somethin like that. But when u say how greedy am I?

Does that mean if I have the room I should let them grow out of the screen a few inches more for bigger colas? ( I just convinced my self while typing)

we wait one more week!!!!! I want a pound this time. I got three zips from my last grow. Which could have been better.

I have a multiple strain extravaganza going on tho. Ive Got A diavolo going in my 250 cab as well as chemdawg.( The seedling u can see in the cup)

yeah if you get too greedy though your plants could outgrow your setup happened to me I'm flowering at 6 inches next time.. no screen though just lots of training


I'm taking my first plant down within the next few days here... The trichs look whiter and whiter each day
