Wait until the trichomes are about 50% amber color and 50% white.
Actually there is a better way to tell...once the hairs are turning colours, and they start to receed back into the bud...will the plant be ready. The trich method is ok to use...but sometimes it's not the best way...alot of people i know use the method i mentioned.

right on thanks for the posts, ya the pistils are about 35% red id say, so i was gonna wait until 50% to chop em down.
Sure is tempting tho! smelling very fruity strongly of strawberry...cant wait

If I remember correctly...Maui Wowie is a strong sativa sided plant...look for up to 12 weeks flowering time when growing a sativa dominent plant, most finish in about 9 weeks...but i have seen some take the full 12 weeks.

Just do a search on when to harvest...and i'm sure you'll find everything useful that you need there.

ya theres not much info on the internet as far as maui goes which was strange i thought, but the guy i got the clones from said 56 days which was yesterday so ill give it a few more days to ripen up nicely

If you wait till too many trichs are amber you have waited too late...trichs turn amber when THC has degraded and turned to CBN which gives that "fuzzy" headed and confused feeling..I harvest at no more than 10% Amber....
BTW Maui Waui is a sativa strain and usually takes 12 weeks of flowering minimum...Nice plant gratz
