Afternoon Stoners,

I finally have a few frost shots from my Ladies. just a tad over 3 weeks into flower. I figure being a sativa dominant on the Cotton Candy, it may go a full 9+ weeks. The first 3 pics are Ice Bomb and the last 2 are Cotton Candy. I have a scheduled outage in the room tomorrow afternoon, will get some pics with no hps glow.

Thanx reddiamond, I humbly appreciate the vote of confidence. :peace:

I just transplanted my Critical Sensi Star into a 3 gallon pot. I have been very impressed with the root growth in coco. I have been running root excelurator at 1/2 strength for a couple of weeks. This Little Lady is ready to rock and roll...lol

Evening Fellow Growers,

I had my outage today to swap out my fan for my light. I have a new 290cfm 6" axial and it is a lot more quiet than the old one. I will keep the old one for an emergency backup to the backup...lol
Man, I love the smell the plants give off when the light goes out, it is almost sweet, still a bit green yet but it is improving. Going to head back to the lake this weekend, I bought a buddy's aluminum atv trailer and I am going to rig it up for Surf fishing/Kayak hauling. Here are some shots of the Ladies without the annoying amber glow ( actually, I like it, I know, I am weird..lol)

Have a great weekend all.

Good Afternoon All,

Things are moving along nicely. I am now 4 weeks in and all vertical growth has ceased, thank God, cause I am just about out of light adjustment. I am seeing a lot more bulking now. I took a few pics with lights out, because my goofy ass needed to secure the ceiling penetration a bit better, it is hotter than a two-peckered billy goat in my attic this time of year and I should have taken my time and did it right.
Here are a few shots of the girls with lights out. A couple of these tops are going to be over 14" when all is said and done. That is a burden I can learn to live with...lol

Thank You Kindly M8.

I used AN Carboload with Orca from 2 weeks of veg up until 2 weeks into flower. I am running the PK 13/14 this week, but boost is all the additive I am using now. I will stop boost the last week or at a min, tone it down to 25% or a bit less. I want to avoid having a boat load of nutes in them when they finish, I will follow the canna regimen but hold back on the boost, it is expensive, so I have been using it at 50% for the first 2 weeks and now at 75%. I am going to try Bud XL next round, but will stay with canna coco a & b as base nutes for sure.

Yeah boost is expensive, the guy in my grow shop is really helpful, he used to grow in coco and said only to use half strength boost as any more didn't make any difference to his yield. Also you can use it as a foliar spray instead of mixing it in the food and it lasts a lot longer :)
I didn't use anything other than the full canna line and silicone in my 1st grow so i'm tempted to try some carbs in the next run and see if it makes any difference, why did you use carboload in veg?

ASV, recommended reading Phosphorus. Start with wiki. I doubt you'll be bumping it once you do. Eve worse, most flower nutes have too much and are not in proper ratios with N & K

It's got to go somewhere, and that somewhere is your lungs

What's that old story... if a thousand (insert fav animal, in this case mj growers) jumped off a bridge, would you follow them? It's not too late

Peace out

I used the carboload for benny food. The orca adds the minions and the carboload is food for them. It says to cease all of that at 2 weeks into flower, as most bloom enhancers will hurt or wipe out most of the minions, so it is a waste to go any farther than 2 weeks.

Yea, I have read up on the bloom boosters, and they are kinda like fishing lures, 50% are designed to catch fish, the other 50% is designed to catch fisherman...lol

Thanx for droppin in.

I have been doing a bit of research on my nutes, and I am convinced that staying simple and not adding too many things is the way to go. I have not had any issues and the growth has been unreal as of late. I will feed no boosters after week 7, even if they need to go 9 weeks to finish. Once the pistils start turning and curling, bloom boosters are really not needed and will only saturate the plant and will more than likely have an affect of the final product. I am following the canna regimen to the hilt except for the boost, I'll keep it at 75% for 2 more weeks and then pull back until the end of week 7. I have not seen a single deficiency of any kind on these Ladies. Unless I see a problem, I am staying true to the course on the nutes. I will have at least 2 tops that will scare a 2 liter bottle to death, one is 14" and the other is almost 17", and getting fatter by the minute..lol

What I'm referring to is not visible, it's in the smoke
yea, I don't see a way to combat that unless I practically quit using nutes, even the organic folks have the same issue, and some compost teas are loaded with it as well. Oh well, been doing it for almost 40 years, I am sure it will work itself out..lol

Morning All,

Hope all is well in everyone's world today. Wrapping up week 5 soon and things are getting better by the day. The smell is getting sweet like candy with undertones of dankness. I had to add an upper trellis to support some of the growth and to help me spread the tops out under the light a bit better. I finished the week of PK 13/14 and now back to regular blooming nutes for a couple of weeks and then coast to harvest time.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Greetings All,

Whew, where to begin. I completed my first grow recently and I am now ready to start the second. A brief history, I started off going hydro with a drip system. That did not go so well and I ended up going soiless and handwatering. It got the job done at a minimal level.( I ended up with plenty of smoke :eyesmoke: ). My heart is really on an automated hydro system.
I have just revamped my grow room (with the help on my Lil' Bud of course) and completed the switch to dtw with coco coir and the canna line of nutes and some additives as well. I am going with 1 of each plant and see what happens from there. Hats off to Herbies for thier service.

My grow room is 9'x4'x7.5' and consists of 3 areas, the veg/clone cabinet (2' T5), the dry/cure cabinet and the main veg/flower area (600w). The entire room is automated and it controls the environment/lighting and the feeding as well. I will be starting out in small containers for a week or so, then transplant into 1 gallon for another week or so, then finish vegging and flowering them in 3 gallon pots. Here are a few pics of the recent work. The little yellow guy, that my Lil' Bud, he assists me when he can and always has quality on his little mind...lol

Afternoon Fellow Growers,

Week 5 is in the history books. Buds are swelling up faster now and the smell is getting more righteous every day. I do not know about you kind folks, but when you have a grow going right and you can see and smell the fruits (< no pun intended ), the shit is a badass high all by itself. My only regret is that I cannot say I have a couple of decades of growing experience, but I am playing catch up like a mofo. :bigjoint:

I am looking forward to seeing some color changes on these ladies. Just ordered a new dehumidifier (45L), the one I use now has had its day in the sun and I am going to retire it to the lake house for the older folks to use.
