MegaCrop with RO?

Thinking of trying out a bag of MC in one of my tents. I feed DTW in 70/30 coco/perlite, underneath HLG Quantum Boards. I use RO water.

From searching the forums, it seems like a little bit of calmag is still needed with RO & coco, despite the extra cal that MC has. I’ve got a giant bottle of Calimagic at the house if need be.

for those who use MC with RO water, under LED and in coco, how much Calimagic (or whatever calmag you use) do you add into your feed? I was hoping it would have enough without adding extra but that doesn’t seem to be the case unless using tap.

I've done this research and so far from talking via email with them directly, they say you shouldn't need anything else. But just grab some of their CalMag too just in case. I've also heard the CalMag is a bit chunky but not to crush it smaller to dissolve easier as to not cause any lockout.

Also, with ANY BRAND or type of nutrient, CalIMagic must be mixed thoroughly FIRST and FOREMOST into your water BEFORE ANYTHING else.(i.e. MegaCrop 1part)

The latest MC has more CA than previous.
For me, in buffered coco, under CMH/cobs, I average 3ml of calimagic.
(GLNs calmagpro has too much nitrogen imo.)

I know nothing about MC but like others, say Canna, if you use their recommended rates you don't need cal/mag. IMHO, that is way too much fert/N, I run around 250 ppm in veg and 350 ppm in flower with Canna. I am sure the MegaCrop is the same.

I agree with the statement about their calmag for sure.

so the 3ml/gallon average, is that with the latest version? Or with previous versions?
