Same closet setup. I might add a few more lights though eventually.

The seeds i got i just obtained from my guy. he had no idea what strain they could have come from but lately he's had some pretty bomb shit. so here goes again.

I have 4 seeds that i am currently germinating. This thread is going to be really boring for a few weeks so bear with me.

They are in between two white paper towels folded up, soaked and rung out lightly. There is definitely ample humidity in the container as water droplets did form. And i put the airtight container in the cabinet above my fridge.

So now the long waiting process begins. Fuckin 14 long weeks to go...hopefully all goes right with this one.

I'm going to try and update this qith quality pics taken with a canon rebel SLR every wednesday so tune in then for some new pics.

Pce everyone

woo woo! all 4 seeds germ'd and they are planted in varying sized containers. 1 in the old planter, 5lb protein jug, and the other 2 in little planters. I placed those 2 by the window and the other two under my cfl setup. 2 42w soft white on top, 1 on side and 1 27w daylight on side. Im thinking of moving those to suspend from the top at the beginning of the grow because not much side light is needed.

All seedlings have the 2 round cotyledons growing out of them and i planted them from seed to soil with leaves already showing. they are very yellow but obviously there arent any nutes in the paper towels so im sure the soil will do them some good. fingers crossed on these plants coming through in the planting! hopefully i can actually see some yield off this grow. knock on wood-grain

Just added another plant. watered it because it was wilting. my friend neglected it cuz he was outta town for the week so i told him id take care of it and make it better. its nice i think fem'd and a type of BC bud idk thats all he told me. i put it under a 42w soft white and my 27w daylight.

So far i have 2 seedlings and a 6 inch, topped for 2 cola plants under lights, a seedling in the window sill and a seedling yet to break ground in the sill as well. hopefully that will come up but im having my doubts about it.

Stay tuned for pics tomorrow. my buddy is coming over with the canon.

Heres an update. with some pics. boring pics but none the less. i named all the plants we got 1,2 susie 3 lil 4 michelle 5,6,7 cecilia (~3weeks old and topped) 8 margaret. I gave them the most fitting female names i could think of at the time.

Cecilia is a high yield plant ive been told and has had some watering issues. she was neglected for a week by a friend so i told him id rescue it. Any advice as to what i should do with her? ive been giving her some water with a tiny bit of nutes in it and am planning on transplanting to a bigger pot some time this week.

Here are the pics

I transplanted cecilia today. Gave them all a good drink of water and rearranged my room around a bit. Pic updates are every wednesday so i'll post them then. I have some good ideas for setting up my lights in my room so hopefully ill put some sort of contraption together and get it to work well. I'll keep you updated!

Update to the grow room...I used to have only 4 cfls. Now i have 6 strung up. 4 hanging 2 on the sides. Looks like this

0 < < 0 0's are single desk lamps. < are y splitters. 0=26w daylight <=42w SW 26w daylight staggered.

Pics will come Tomorrow or tuesday. I will be going out of town for a week wed-wed so no pics on regular picture day.

To answer your question jheazy i used to have the one (lily) that is stretching like a bastard on the window sill. It is currently being held up by a paper clip and has 2 lights pointed at it. Waiting for the stem to get nice a strong. I also have a fan blowing straight up in the room to get some muscle goin on the stems.

The other 2 seedlings have been in my grow room and the premature little girl cecilia was at my buddys in his window sill. east facing so only gets good light in the AM. All of his plants seem to think they are flowering right away so he gets premature flowers all the time. I think some are coming in but i cant tell if they are going to be shoots. I've only had the luck to see male flowers as of now.

Right now i have 42+42+26+26+29+15 4 being SW 2 Daylight

Grand total of 180watts for 4 plants Currently. I really am hoping they like the new lighting set up. It is strung from the top of my closet with a piece of wood strapping 4x1 cut to 26 inches long. So far so good the plants are getting bigger already only 11 days into the grow. They are working on their fan leaves as we speak hopefully. I really wish i could get an HPS...definitely for the next grow. I'm planning splitting my new closet, 1 side veg with cfls and the other side HPS flowering.

Till tomorrow or later tonight when I can get pics up stay up everyone! never gettin low

Pics 1-4 is the new grow set up. 6 lights, on 4 plants. 2 more lights to come when i get back from out of town. 2 lights per plant that will make it. should be enough pic 5 is cecilia, yes she has been topped and is at abour 5 weeks now. the rest of them are at 13 days. pic 6 is lily, then cecilia, michelle and susie. all lookin great. They seemed to be stretching a bit to go after the light as seedlings but i transplanted lily to a bigger pot a added soil high up on the stem to the rest of them. They all look great now.

The lights are going 20/4 right now. But as im going away and dont have a timer right now i will leave them at 24/0 and have a friend tend to the watering as needed. So far im happy with the progress. Im thinking im going to keep one topped for 2 colas, top one for 4 colas, and lst and straight grow one so far, but as i have recently been noticing and someone has just said, they are looking like some sativas, the 3 bag seed younger ones so i might want to think of another route to go with.

Most journals i read are of indicas for indoor grows so i dont really have much knowledge on sativa. Whats the best way to grow them if you have 5' minimum maybe 7' max to grow these and are running cfls? any good ideas will be well appreciated!

Thanks and enjoy the pics stay hiigh

Well you're already on the road of keeping them short - Topping slows upward growth a bit, because the plant is supporting 2+ tops instead of one... so they both may grow an inch taller, instead of one top growing 2 inches, make sense? Also - LST... that's good for sativas....

But how you could really keep them sativas shorter, IMO, would be more Light!! I know you said you are getting more, so that's good. Try and keep your lights really damn close to the plants to reduce the stretching - but some LST might help. You've got a pretty good sized area, I doubt you'll really have to worry too much.

Good Luck
