I'm not sure they've been around long enough for anyone to have experience. Maybe you could be the first and let us know if 25 a bulb is worth it.

right I agree with the intensity . of the mh vs t5 but a 8 bulb t5 is about 450 watts and bulbs can sit 1/2 inch on top of plants and is about 40k lum and the mh about the same 39000 lumens . and that light needs to be at least 2 feet away to spread over your plants or put it as close as 6 inches cooled but only for a few plants I am talking about at least 10 plants the 400 watt mh will not cut it unless they are baby plants . the mh will grow them until they are total monsters the mh would have to be raised up very high in my situation 2 feet hardly any intensity . currently I switch them from 600 1 day other day 1000 to save electric . with mh bulb until they are over 2 feet tall then its 24/7 mh and a 1000 watt hps next to it 24/7 i would switch off when they got to the 2 foot mark from the t5 to mh and hps for at least another 2 weeks with co2 need them 3 .5 feet tall , anyways next run and ill let the hortilux t5 run we will see what will happen it could save me a lot of cash 57 a month i can get the t5 for 23 each . in 3 months i get my money back . now these bulbs would have to be the shit because current mh bulbs just grow a lot more fast them t5 do . i like to play around . i did a test with kind led lights total slow lost the t5 but that's another story

Are we talking about the large CFL bulbs that some growers call t5 ,if so there brilliant, I used the flowering bulb not the blue veg one at a friend's other month with chunk pulled 6 oz from it,cost affective, I'm adding 2 to my next grow rather than using 3 x 600's ,I add the 3 Rd 600 round about week 5 flowering,I did not use it this time, but will be using 2 of the large cfl's this time.
