I Do a hydro flood table set up! Is it better to have a pot with only a couple of holes on bottom to contain roots a little better or mesh pots and let them run.?I grow in mesh and roots end up turning into a long massive mane of roots shooting out the bottom.Im not saying a few inches,i mean close to a foot long.Im thinkin thats good is it? Do plants benefit from being a little root bound or should they be allowed to grow as long and as far as they want? I get great results with mesh!!

I'd prefer mesh and let the roots grow freely and not contain them. If you are getting great results with mesh then why try to fix what is not broke. Or you could try DWC

mesh:
also, try filling around your pots with hydroton to block light out from those roots that want to "run" and give them something to grow in..feed in..breath in...
i personally like the hydrofarm square black pots with mesh bottoms and slotted sides- buck 50 ea
cheers
