Ok so this is my first post ever on here. For the record I grow mostly bag seed because 1.) I cant afford exotic seeds and 2.) I am extreeeemmeeellyyy paranoid buying them online. My little 10 inch plant that I just transplanted yesterday has been on a 9am-3am fixture. I just got a job starting tomorrow and I have to be in by 7am. I don't have a timer but I plan on getting one so I turn the lights off by hand. Now, if I wake my little buddy up early but still turn it off at 3am, will it stress it that bad that it will turn it male? I think I just saw signs of it being a female so I don't want to fuck it up. Thanks guys.

No that won't stress it too much, and you can't turn a plant male. When a seed is made it has a predetermined sex. How old is it and do you have pics?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I've switched around the light schedule before and saw no repercussions. I don't suggest doing it, but wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just dont mess with the 12/12 schedule!

You can leave the lights on 24 hours a day until you get a timer.

you can turn a plant into female and male . messing with light times, keep it the same every time. why a lot of growers do 24, grow fast, less chances of mold,

You can get a hermaphrodite. You cannot make a plant change sex through the light cycle.

As long as you're getting less than 12 hours of darkness you should be fine. A couple hours of light change here and there won't affect anything but your growth rate.

You can get pollen sacks on females if you mess around with their light schedule in flower though. That's more dependent on your genetics, though. I intentionally stressed and messed with the light cycles on some of my strains, and there was no balls. Hermies seem pretty avoidable if you get a feel for the strain you're growing.

Its been a month and 2 weeks. I pulled off the cloved leafs and the single bladed leafs (very carefully) when they turned completely yellow and were almost dead. That's good to hear that it looks healthy! I thought maybe because it looks like a palm tree that it wasn't growing too good lol. Oh and I transplanted it 2 days ago from a small pot to that big one you saw right there. It LOVED it! Within an hour its leaves were all the way up as if to say "THANK YA LORD JESUS FOR DIS NEW HOMEEE!!" lol

It looks healthy, but it does seem a bit small for it's age. That may have been due to it's previous home though.

Yeah I usually use those 7-8 inch terracotta pots from seedlings to about a month, then I transplant when I see that im needing to water it everyday instead of every other day. Damn, I never thought of that before! lol
