How about t -5s for veg and then hps for flower. Would be alot cheaper (alot). And if you buy straight from company, you can save even more.

or just buy 4 4 footer shop lights from lowes and loadem with 5000---6500k bulps alot cheaper then the t-5s. this is what i use for vegging

T8 32W 48inches cct 3800-6500 / light output 2700-2850

T5 35W 48 inches cct 3000-6500 /light output 3400-3500

But you would use T5 54 watt to veg so.....

54W cct 3000-6500 / light output 4700-5000

im currently testing out T12's they were like 3 bucks apieace and had sprouts from seeds in days and appear to be working great
used T8s before tho yea

if theres a reason why T5 is better then that im all for being educated and will switch out what I have although it appears to work great

T5s have a much great lumens output which makes it possible to flower useing warm (red) bulbs. As for veg, it has a wonderful outcome, plus less watts and heat. But if you can use T8s in veg, then why not.

I thought u wanted a cooler blue spectrum for vegging? yea the setup I have now works great. maybe ill buy some T5s for flowering for shits and giggles. I flower with HPS so ill do a few under some T5s as well. thanks for the heads up
