So i've been growing the last year with just a t5 for veg, 2 gavita 1000w pro's for flower

was curious as to what MH lights people on this forum would recommend and if they can be 110v (the only power i have available for this particular room)

I would prefer 400w but if thats not possible i'm open to other options and if you personally don't think MH is what i should be getting i'd like to hear any idea's on that as well, this will be for veging 6-8 plants

IMHO....I would continue using the T5's for veg and buy a 600 watt HPS for flower mode (most can dial down to 50% or 75%)

I'm not sure what the gavita's are, but at only 100 w each, they don't have much horsepower for flowering.

I know allot of people who love T5's for vegging, low cost, low heat, low power consumption, but yet get the trick done

You can supplement with a few CFL's to provide some side lighting

Ive got the Apollo 400 watt. Came with MH and HPS bulbs, ballast, hood and a cheap timer. Check it out at Amazon, there fairly inexpensive.

oh...then that makes a big difference.....2000 watts is lots of horse power :)

yeah....400 watt MH would make a nice veg room but T5's do the trick on the cheap

Is this what you are talking about? http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK400GW19-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B004YXDHX6 That actually looks pretty sweet do you think i could veg 6-12 plants under that?
Yah, thats what I have. Not sure of your setup or how long you veg/ how big you let em get. I usually flower 2 large plants 5 or 6 ft. under this light, if you want to do more you could just get the 600 watt and use the dimmer if you didnt need the extra light.

I've vegged with MH T5's HPS LED and Magnetic induction. The only lighting I have yet to use is LEP (shit is like 1000$ for a fixture that covers a 4x4). HPS was my least favorite, T5's didn't quite have the growth the other lighting did. The LEDs I used were crazy they were Diamond Series 300w or extreme veg. I only switched to them to replace my 600w MHs when I was trying to cut back my electric bill.

MH was by far my favorite to veg under
Even this guy did a great job http://shop.gyostuff.com/Sunburst-400W-E-Ballast-HPS-MH-Lighting-System-SBE400.htm
As for what I would recommend to you, I have no idea. I would definitely try and find a 400w MH fixture though :)

i usually do 6 4-5ft plants but i'm limited to 110v so i need something that works with that, as it stands with my current t5 things start getting verrrrrrry crowded toward the end
