Mh or Hps?

Ok, so I've heard if you can only get one light get metal halide. I've also heard if you can only get one get Hps. Which one should I get? I would get better buds with hps but what about during the veggie stage?

all your bud production is in flowering. that being said it woud probably be best going with a light that helps this process out the most. you can always veg a little longer to get your plants bigger. or you could even just use cfls for the veg if you are that worried about your girls

another thought is to get a conversion ballast that can support both an mh and hps. i have a simple little 250 watter and it does great in my closet

HPS deff. if you have the extra $ mh is nice to have also. conversion ballast are also nice.

I bought a 400 watt hps ballast off of ebay used for like 70 bucks with a reflector and all. You can get mh conversion bulbs that will work in an hps ballast for around 50 bucks
