don't want to ruin the babies now.
I am a first time grower, but they look very good.

Hey, welcome...

If you feel like sticking around the grow journals are a good place to log your grow. You'll get lots of help from growers all over the site.

To answer your question, your plants will be fine. Although personally I'd use both HPS and MH for flower... then buy another MH for veg.

well just expect very quick growth,(your plants double, triple,or even quadruple in height depending on what strain and you will probably havto water more frequently coz there thirst and hunger will increase and soon youll have big fat sticky sweet smelling bud.peace

cool, well expect the smell to get stronger and better,i know it can feel like its taking forever but its well worth the wait when you blaze it.dont do what some first time growers do and get impatient and chop early,,,you can take a little bud off early just as a little sample, and dry it quick if you want!the in a brown envelope on a ballast works best for me!just check on it several times so it dont get to dry,

you can use both for the whole grow if you want - i do (i use a dual-spectrum reflector - 400w MH and 600w HPS)

it is the 12 hour dark period that induces flowering - not the type of light. as long as the plant gets 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness (and consequently 12 hours of light), the plant will start flowering. Using MH for veg and HPS for flower increases size, yield and is better overall for the plant but has nothing to do with when a plant flowers.
