Mice Eating Plants

Two weeks ago I planted 20 Urban Poison feminised seeds. 19 popped.
After two weeks, they were about 3" tall.
I checked them on the 16th day and five stems were bitten in half. One plant was eaten down to the plug. This never happened before.
Do mice like pot????

Do you have deer in your area? Deer like seedlings and are known to nibble on them if they get the chance. I had a deer walk up the stairs to my second story deck once and wipe out a number of seedlings in pots. I knew it had been deer because it, or they, knocked over one large pot and there were hoof prints in the dirt on the deck.

I had exactly the same problem about 10 years ago with a soil grow! The grow was indoors and in grow cabinet! I thought it was either mice or landlord giving me settle hint! Needless to say, I figured on Landlord and discontinued grow! You are the first person who has shared this, and makes me think. Had I continued then. I wouldn't be here now asking questions! LOL

Any cats around? I had that in an indoor grow. Sometimes I would find the peat plugs knocked over. I figured out our cat was getting into the grow space and eating the plants.

Yeah man I had mice eat two of my seedlings about a month ago. I just put out traps with peanut butter on them. They like peanut butter better than pot apparently because I had a few dead mice and a few less dead plants. The crazy thing is that one of the ones that got eaten came back to be one of the best plants in the crop.

Yes they do.They will chew the leafs off and not eat the whole thing you will see the destruction and get pissed. This happens mostly in the winter time when green vegitation is scarce.Mostly in grow rooms in the barn or trailers were it is easy for them to get access.Look for entrance points and block them with spray expanding foam insulation and steel wool they can,t chew through it.The steel wall will stop them in there tracks so be sure to use it.If it continues look for very small holes and plug em or use chocolate and drywall dust and they will go look for water then have a belly full of hard spackle and die the draw back is they may die in the walls and stink the place up for a week or so but they will get the point and not come back for a while. The longer your winters are the more of a problem this can be.
