If only one party is protected by law, its still an illegal transfer.
Listen to HP folks!
A compassion club owner is being charged for selling a 1/2 zip to a cancer patient whose card had expired.
All of his records, the clubs, and the doctors where taken buy Leo.

You mean people still use their own names to sign in? Any dispensary that asks for my ID everytime I go in, doesn't see me come back in. I can still get it on the street if I had to, and I would before leaving a paper trail. They make a copy but that was months ago and plausible denyability is a reasonable defense in the absence of real evidence.

Like any other hot business, if there is money to be made a million guys will jump on. Every dude with a cfl is trying to grow trees in his closet without mom knowing. You just have to work hard and carve out your own niche (sp?). If you are working with dispensaries, selling on the street, blasting into wax etc. You get out of it what you put in. Just because you followed the pro grow chart on your fav nutes doesn't mean you are going to get $400 a zip for you shit.
I am trying to focus on big colas. This has been my aim since I started growing. Every dealer around here has popcorn nugs because they are trying to get the max out of their plant. Which I don't blame them, if I was out for cash I would do the same thing.

I want to grow trophy buds. If I ever acquire the funds to make a bigger grow, I want to veg my girls for 4 months each and make them single cola. And I want to set it up so I harvest one/two every 2 weeks. People keep telling me its a waste of time, but I don't think so.

I have been working on the plans for a couple weeks now. I don't see why it wouldn't work. The problem is the buds would weigh more than I am allowed to carry, so I don't know who I would get them to a dispensary unless I acquired more patients to grow for.

Are big colas stronger?

I've never had the funds to buy more than a couple grams at a time, and most dispensary customers are the same way from what I can see. Those little popcorn buds are pretty much made to order for the dispensary and the patient, as most transactions are of a small amount and a nug or two on the scale usually weighs out every single time.

Most dispensaries (at least good ones) will request you break down large colas into smaller nuggets before bringing them in to sell or they will end up doing it themselves before it hits the shelf. This way its easier to spot problems with the flowers (mold, rot, ect.), easier to make up smaller quantities to sell and no one wants to buy a big one zip bud with a 4 gram stem inside it...

most people in my experience do not want big colas with large stems in the middle of them. The second shelf buds on the plant seem to me to be the best to smoke. I can remember back in the old days getting a qp with a 12" long cola. We broke it down and the stem weighed 12grams!

I don't think big colas are any stronger. It seems to be pretty much strain dependent.

My bigger colas weigh around 2-3 ounces and my smaller ones are from 1/2-1 oz. I got a little guy in there that probably just weighs a 1/4 ounce.

I am still pretty fresh to growing. Its only going to get bigger and better from here on out.

You guys make some pretty good points. But there has to be some one medical that wants to buy large trophy buds. I know they can/will/have sold on the streets.

You are going to get stems no matter what you buy. Stems are part of the bud. Granted probably not 4gs worth of stem, but stems none the least. Dealers, especially dispensaries, would lose so much profit if they took out every stem and just sold pure sensi.

Even if I can't get this shit to sell legally I am going to keep growing fat colas. Its what I always wanted to do and perfect, a childhood dream of sorts. Maybe even a pipe dream. If I can get a 1 pound bud I will feel like everything I worked toward with these grows is finally accomplished.

I have never been to marijuana competitions before, but I think a massive resin covered cola would make a big impression.

Has anyone thought of a medical marijuana auction? I think this would be a great idea for getting rid of large colas. That way people aren't paying per gram, they are paying per bud. I would need to get a microscope camera to take pictures of the trichombs and display them. I would also run thc, cbd, and disease/mildew tests on the buds and display them also.

I don't get why you guys get such big stems in your large colas. Most of my stems are no thicker than a restaurant straw and I need strings to hold the bud up or risk snapping the stem. I would say maybe 5% of the bud is a stem.

My biggest colas have big stems, but they have tons of bud to go with them..

most dispensaries I went to broke all the buds down as far as possible. Having nice THC/CBD numbers, bag appeal, smell/flavor, swollen glandular trichrome heads, trim/dry/cure job and strain lineage is what is going to be the main determining factors. Sure anyone can grow big fat buds but do they smell like hay and burn the hell out of your throat? not saying anything about anyone's bud but you guys get the picture. There is alot of pretendica out there.

I once bought a one ounce bud from the street. My dealer had the courtest to ask if I wanted it, reminding me that there would be a log in the middle. I thanked him and still do for that tip and bought the oz anyhow, partly because he was straight with me, and mostly because I wanted to say I had a one ounce bud. The stem was 4.5g.

If you get a 16 gram stem from an ounce that is pretty fucked up, I would never do that to some one.

Thank you guys for all your input, these things weigh heavy on my mind. I know I can sell these quality buds some where. If not to a dispensary then to my usual connections.

I'd like to see pics of some of your 3 oz colas...

The one in this pic (on top of a gallon jug for scale) only weighed about 35 grams trimmed and dry.

If By chance it's passed without change I think it will separate the grower from the growers. Only the cream will come to the top.

Genetics make all the difference in the world, an "okay" grower with elite genetics can grow better meds than an "elite" grower with okay genetics...

I've been wondering about that genetics thing. I bought 2 different seeds from Attitude, and they don't seem to be growing as fast as some bagseed I have right next to it.

Seeds are always rolling the dice, some love them and some hate them. I like to stick to clones of proven elites...
