I'm curious as to what the vibe is here. Everyone at the Michigan Medical Marijuana forums thinks that the law shouldn't be changed, with only patient access. Nobody over there seems to favor full legalization. What do you guys think?

Of course I am for Full Legalization, but for now I think patient to patient exchanges should be clarified. And some way for patients to verify if someone has a fake card or phony documentation to help patients from unknowingly making criminal exchanges. Also more clarification on how employers can't fire MMJ patients for testing positive.

i think the law needs to be clarified a bit and allow more than just 2.5oz. but i ultimately favor full legalization.

For those that want full legalization what program has the government run good? Decriminalize and leave the government outta it.

Exactly. That's ideal, but legalization doesn't necessarily mean government run. Let the private markets work it out. Supply and Demand have worked for centuries. The government will find a way to put a tax, fee, charge, license, etc., without running the program. Everytime the government has to pay someone to do a service or project, citizens foot the bill. Thus increasing the prices and amount of time, more money, to bring the product to end users.

Yes I'm in favor of decriminalizing, but I think that it will never happen. Better to try and legalize based on factual evidence from Dr.'s, psychologists, socialogists, and the Congressional Budget Office.

It's never going to be legalized, as this would have to be a national change in law, at the Federal level. The law still says it's illegal, even though the State says it's ok for med use. What is do think is that major clarification needs to be made regarding the patient/caregiver/dispensary issues.

It's a mess right now, and it needs repair. Ann Arbor, just last night, put ANOTHER halt on the ability to open dispensaries. The only positive is at least they're really thinking about it. The DEA is demanding lists of patients and caregivers from Lansing, and who knows where else........just wait for the raids to start.

I can't even picture how to decriminalize if the DEA is fighting all the way.

I'm even afraid to go to compassion club meetings for fear of the Feds taking my picture, or watching cars for license plate numbers right now. The whole thing is changing by the day.

Stress.
