Im growing from random seeds as well. Except i have around 30 two week old's going to veg them for another week then its a 12/12 to sex them once i weed out the males im going to bud all the females except the one i like the best. Im going to take the best baby and try to re-veg her for a mother i'll keep u updated ive heard this works but never seen it done so hey why not. If i cant get her to re-veg then budding her and ordering some female seeds!!
But if i get my mother to take i will lst her to keep her small and clone the stuffing out of her. Also doing this so i can scog due to my small sized grow box.

Eventually im gonna try to do a hydro grow ,

im going to use this tub and try to make a small d.w.c style box

here is what iv done to it so far

i cut a hole out the top with a jig saw , then i covered the tub and top with electrical tape ,

i drilled a small hole in the side to fit the air hose threw

the screen is like for a shower or something to catch hair and shit

idk if roots will grow threw that screen , i might have to poke bigger holes in it

dont use it it might rust i would use a yogurt container or something or the sort and on the larger size Just my two cents cut holes that the clay balls wont fall out of and should be good or you might find something in the garden section at hoe depot

got a hydro shop nearby? go got a net pot they r cheap like a buck or so

i didnt think about the possibility of it rusting ( duhhhh

well the hole is already cut so i will have to find something that will fit

ill figure something out , im not in a big rush for it

no hydro shops around my man ,

maybe in Charlotte but im not driving an hour just to pick something like that up ,

i cant afford the gas right now lol

and btw im sure it is stainless steel but i would still just get a netpot
tell me the size of hole and i will tell u what it cost but u may have to enlarge hole if it is in between sizes

its not an even hole through out the whole diameter

in and out between 3 1/4 " to 3 3/4" ,

my hand was not that steady

Word of advice for growing one plant. Get some fem'd seeds. If you want proof of my advice, just check out my church link and read through it.

Hey fab do you think i can use the yellow part of this sponge as a substitute for rockwool ?

think the roots would grow threw it ?

i know i should use fem seeds if im gonna grow 1 plant

but their just to much for me right now my man .

id black the tub out with black tape so light dont get to the roots

that's super tight...my bf & I just got a grow tent for doing some fun experiments in...We decided to do something similiar to that. Thanks for posting that pix. Also OP Great idea & set up with the TV stand, Im excited for ya bro...Can't wait to see them grow. Peace & happy Gardening!!!

Find a plastic container that is slightly bigger then your cut out flip it upside down trace with pen and cut out with some scissors should get you a nice flush hole just remember to cut slightly smaller then your trace then just epoxy or tape it in there and bam good to go. And stainless still rusts its just more rust resistant and with hydro nutrients who knows how long it would last as salt and warm water speed the process. Take a look at net pots get a sharpie draw some lines and get to cutting make it look like the ones online with plenty of room for the roots to grow but not bigger then the clay stones you are using. Ive made something just like this and have had good luck with it but when you really want to do hydro get a 5 gallon bubbler bucket and some good hydro nutrients it will be well worth the drive. my dwc was 16 site with 3'' netpots

Well i guess i pulled the tape to tight across the top

because this mourning when i got up it looked like this

so now i got to re due it , just not so tight lol

and im gonna wait a while before i start that hydro , i need to be patient and just wait till i have what i need instead of trying to modify household objects lol

so until then its still soil

Been making some progress dude ur cab looks good , mines started to sag need to redo it + misting takes away the shine after time. Trying out a mini hydro ? u gonna update that here too ? got a old fish tank pump i been thinking of using to build one :/
