This is my 125w CFL bag seed grow that i hope finishes well.

While adjusting one of my ties i split the yongest lady and the main Y... we will see how that turns out.

The oldest female started flowering two weeks earlier than the rest under 18/6.
They are now under 12/12

I used Fox Farms Soil and their nutes and i add molasses to the water as well.

I dont check the ph just use Tap water and let it sit in a container for a few days before using it.

i fimmed the plants or i made some chops when then were young and the bushed out pretty good for my fist attempt.

any ways here all all the pics.

Ill keep updating all the way through the curing process... then i will start a real grow with better seeds.

oops

So that is where i'm at right now.

8 Weeks old and 4 weeks of 12/12 :hump:

More updates to Come

I've been using the same 125 watt, 2700k light for flowering and I've loved it. I was thinking about those 200 and 250 watt CFL's. Although now I would have to say I will probably just buy a 150 watt HPS instead, and just combine it with my 125 watt CFL, and a few UVB/UVA lights. This way I would have a wide spectrum and probably some of the most balanced light you could get without growing outdoors.

But! I'm really excited to see someone use one of these super-huge CFLs:hump:. Hope you get a crazy yield. Can you explain your venting and smell control. I see you have a vortex thingee, and a carbon scrubber? have you pretty much eliminated your weed stench, or just lessened it a bit?

Thanks for the info, here's some pics of my setup.

The vortex VT400 pulls air from the carbon filter and i think it averages 60 air changes a minute...
way over kill but i have no heat issues then i port the exhaust outside.
the Carbon filter removes the smell and you cannot smell anything
plus i like to have an apple cinnamon air freshener in the room the closet is in.

They youngest female smells like Fuel and the older one smells like a skunk
but when everything is sealed up there is no smell just some white noise in the background
that is drowned out by a floor fan i have running in the room.

Yeah i understand the HPS would be more efficient watts Vs Lumen but this is good enough for me.
i think i get about 13k lumen from this 250w CFL its the 1300w equivalent.
i have a while before im ready to harvest and so far it looks like its turning out well for just winging it.

Ya, what is with that coke bottle? I woulnd't say you are just "winging it" you've got shit in your grox box I haven't even heard off before. Looks wicked though. Thanks for the info on the Vortex thing. Although I think I might attempt the DIY carbon filter, made from a Honeywell universal filter. It's in the indoor growing, odour control forum here. Although it uses like a giant Air Purifyer Carbon Filter, not the ground carbon like most people seem to use. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this???

Has anyone simply tried sticking like a $50 air purifyer, with a built in ionizer into their grow room, would this do anything>? it's got a carbon filter?

The Coke bottle is a Co2 Generator.... but with the rate my air is changed out its just for show i guess.
or just maybe the Co2 it puts off will do something...

DIY Co2 Generator: Yeast, Sugar, Warm Water and a little baking soda. Yeast Eats the Sugar and puts off Co2.

ill most likely take out the bottle... but at this point i don't think its hurting anything.
