Mini Tube System

Flipping through the christmas special of high times I find the awards section and find the best hydroponic system under $250 Begginers Special its the second one
So my question is what do you think of it, and does anybody have it or know anybody that does. I was thinking of just getting that system and go find a cheap 400w MH/HPS light.

splifman, there are cheaper ones, but that company only gives out new products. his bulbs are agromax also.

I'm not sure I totally understand... Are you saying you can get cheaper ones elsewhere but they won't be new? If you know of cheaper systems that are new, please tell me where to find them.

there is a post on here that they are selling used/referbished ones for ten dollars cheaper. but like I said they are used. i only buy HTG products. well not true, I also buy from harvest moon hydroponics since they are somewhat close to my house. mostly for soil only though.

after searching for a few found the link to it. like I said though, I would not recommend this for the sheer fact you can get a new one for $10 more.

Have you seen 1000bulbs.com,I got my electronic ballast there too.400watt for 146.00.it runs both mh & hps.Theres lighting companys that go out to baseball feilds and change out the bulbs.They just change all of them the same time.Some body is buying them cheap and selling them cheap too.You dont Know how many lums they are puting out,with out a light meter.

That looks like a good way to start a small setup. You get everything you need to start, and you'll learn how to improve it as you go along. I don't think that you could buy those products separately for that price, so it looks like a bargain.
