Minnesota Cheese (Blue Dream + UK Cheese)

Got my med license now, so I'm finally ready to do this legitimately.

This is a cheese strain from Minnesota. Minnesota Cheese (Blue Dream + UK Cheese). I got the genetics through an old buddy. I'm growing these puppies under LED grow panels with CFLs for added blue light spectrum.
I labeled the three seeds I got by which one sank first. So...1,2,3.

They've been in veg for a total of 2 weeks now. They've outgrown all of the seeds I bought online that are supposed to be better genetics, and frankly they look a lot frostier for their size aswell.
1) is doing poorly. I've given him nothing but love but some seeds are just duds and I suspect 1 wont last much longer at this rate (don't want it to tranny or anything)
2) is my favorite, the leaves veins fade from a red inside to a white outside. Sexy short inter-nodal space. Looks like more of an indica pheno.
3) is still my baby, the color of the leaves themselves have a red tint added to the green. it's about twice the height of #2 but 1/3 less vegetative growth. Hopefully this is a male so I can make my own crosses.

I've repotted #2 and #3 into smartpots. They rooted about a day apart and #3 rooted first. #1 is wilting and yellowing, like I said I may just get rid of that one anyways due to the poor shape it's been in.
I will update this a little further into vegging.
As for soil mixture I've composed my own organic super soil with nitrogen fixing bacteria added.
Any comments would be appreciated :)

#3 has exploded with growth after switching to the smart pot. #2 I had some problems getting into his new pot. My cat tried to pee in the soil box when I was transplanting and I flipped the whole pot plant over! Obviously #2 isn't doing that bad but it wasn't potted as deep as I wanted to cause I didn't want to mess around with the roots too much.
At this point #3 is 6 inches tall, and #2 is 2 inches tall. #1 looks like the same yellow wrinkled mess.

Take those puppies out of the room and bring them into the bathroom or something so that we can see all of the colors! And get some upskirts! You know what I'm talking about... :D I can't wait for people to see my old grows, I always wanted to show them off.
Your Friend,
ILove
P.S. I'm subbed.

As requested. Upskirts and some more normal colors. I will take less pictures in under the LED from now on.

#1 died, he is no more. #2 has a nice 7 leaf blade thing going on. #3 is already starting on new foliage.

hey sorry to hear you lost one. How'd it happen? Others look good though! What led panels are you using and how many watts of cfls?

I wish I could pay the Dayyumm Gov to allowe me to do this legally in my home state , but the ground rules around here are of those in power don't want any part of legal medical marijuana.I even hear last year they removed the ballot for people to vote for it, now is sitting on the state Capitol awaiting more than half a million verified signatures we only have about 24,000 by Feb 1 2012 to get them to see if the law makers of this state would even consider this bill to pass... Fugging BS but yeah back to your beautiful garden bless you man... Enjoy all of it...lol

That one seed died because there was a chunk missing out of it. I'm surprised it even sprouted. Hey, some are just duds.
I'm using a couple different types from different LED companies for more of a spectrum. I don't really want to say which ones until after I harvest because I don't want to seem like I'm pushing a certain company or anything. As for the CFLs I really don't know the watts, I put them in to add blue spectrum for vegging. It's just one CFL and two pairs of florescents on either side.

Hey man I know how you feel, I wish I could be doing this stuff back in my home state but I doubt they will ever pass a medical bill there. I swear nothing helps my chronic pain more than ganja. There was no way they were going to get me to take those pain killers any longer than I did.

Sorry about your dud. I like your idea of using a couple different led companies to get various spectrums, i've contemplated doing that myself. PM me the names if you aren't comfortable with saying them here, although I think most people around here would be interested to know and the fact that you are using multiple lights from different companies kind of shows you aren't pushing them. Good luck bro, I'll be along for the ride.

#2 is the same size, seems to be loving the amount of foliage she has.
#3 was getting big so I topped her.

#2 is frostier than #3 I think it might just be because it's a smaller pheno but I wont know for a while.
If you get up close enough they both are starting to stink.

I burned them a little bit with too many nutes in the soil.

Here's #3, she's been trained to have about 12 tops so far. I know for a fact she's a girl now. I gave #3 100% super soil and that beast is just eating it. #2 I'm sure isn't going to be as good of a producer due to the fact I burned most of his lower leaves with the amount of nutes I gave him. I'll post pictures after he recovers a little more.

I pulled out number two because it was the same size for about a month. It had thick roots which showed me what I was going to see later with #3. #3 is obviously the winner, it's dominating its pot even with the 100% super soil mixture.

The mixture itself has given the plant lots of color, the veins have a nice heavy red. The thing that surprised the hell out of me is the thick roots that #2 and #3 shared in common broke through my smart pot. All around the whole pot there's roots sticking out looking for water. Anyone else have this problem with their smart pot?

Alright, today is the day I throw her in flowering. She has 141 tops on her. Man, has she got some early stink.

I'm excited to see what kind of smoke we can get from those tasty warlocks. In a few weeks she'll be unrecognizable. What is that 7 gallons? Sweet sexy cheese dreams? Should be an adventure alright. A grand adventure my friend. Keep on trimming up your plants like this and they're bound to do well.
Sincerely,
ILove

Two weeks into flowering.
I added a little too much phosphorus so the leaves started to rust. She's all cleaned up now though.

Also still figuring out coco, I've been keeping the soil more moist. Watering less more often.

Hey you should get a few pictures of the bud forming, and maybe take the plant out into some more natural light? So that we can see what it really looks like. Anyway keep up the good work, and cheers.
Sincerely,
ILove

So I had a few problems with MNCH in flowering. There were PH problems and the plant needed more supplemental light, but overall....It was the humidity and the heat that killed it. Ah well, it was sad, but now I'm over it. I have 2 MNCH clones in flowering since the 20th of february. I've continued to experiment despite my recent failure. (you learn something new every day!)
I've discovered my strain MNCH has auto flowering tendencies when restricting the root growth. It buds when it's too root bound. I've never experienced a strain like this, it's interesting. With that said the MNCH I threw into flowering was probably no where near root capacity and in the future I intend to throw it into flowering right once it starts force flowering.
So here are a few pictures of MNCH clones flowering in 1 gallon pots instead one seven gallon.

IMG_6954.jpgIMG_6953.jpg Here it is a few days ago.
IMG_6977.jpgIMG_6976.jpg Here are the tops of the two flowering cheeses today.
I've also impregnated a Minnesota Cheese with a Cheddarwurst Male from Alphakronik seeds.
I figured my plant was into restricted root growth so the pregnant mother MNCH is in a 2 gallon bonsai pot with rocks for it to maneuver its way around. It was force flowered for about a week before I got it pregnant with chedderwurst pollen. It's still in veg so it should take longer than a flowering plant to produce seeds. I wasn't expecting them immediately anyways. It's still hard to contain how excited I am to see these babies. :hump:

Here is a picture of the Cheddarwurst male's pollen sacks before they opened.

I will show the finished MN Cheese final product in a few weeks. It appears to flower in under 50 days and I should have an estimation soon.

Alright so I've chopped down the two clones in flowering that were in one gallon containers. I got about 17 grams off the largest plant in wet weight. It's pretty dense and resinous I doubt it'll lose a whole lot of weight, I figure I got about 7 grams dried weight all together. Not a great harvest I know, but it's quality sativa stone and should be a great plant to breed with.
With how short the flowering time is and the quality of the strain it's not surprising a lot of Minnesotan growers that would grow this want the smallest most concealed space to grow their quality ganja like a PC or a closet grow.

Here's that MN cheese that was in the half gallon bonsai pot for about 6 months. Produced about 23 grams dried weight. <br>
Crazy half auto flowering genetics, this thing wouldn't stop budding if I gave it 24 hour light.
