First time here and wanted to share some pics. I'm in Minnesota and have a very small amount of experience at best. I have a nice bunch of GG4 autos from ILGM. Had a few runts from stress but also have some beautiful girls doing there thing. View attachment 5329048View attachment 5329049
I would like to try some autos outdoors next year in MN. Any tips? I'm new to soil, autos and outdoor growing. I am a hydro guy, that's what I learned doing. Soil for some reason I'm having a hard time grasping when to feed and how much ect. Is there anything you'd do differently next year?

This was my first run also and I think I learned quite a bit. My biggest issue was getting pollinated from local wild hemp plants. I think next year I'll go with a poly tunnel greenhouse to mitigate that. Powdery mildew is a big thing around me so I treated with neem oil at forst signs and it seemed to work well, it also seemed to keep pests at bay. I grew two groups one month apart and the first I didn't do any pruning which was a mistake, I had to do it late flower which stressed the plants out quite a bit. They slowed they're growth for a week. I used just organic garden soil from my local nursery mixed with a couple pounds cocoa coir to soak up extra water and some perilght. I grew in 20 gallon pots and 5 gallon pots. Not sure why but every one of the 5 gallon pot girls have super dense buds. I used advanced nutrients line (micro, veg, bloom, big bud, overdrive, bud candy) also added terpinator to the mix. First batch i used half recommended nutrients and second batch I used full strength... wish I would have went full strength with both. Those girls took the full strength no problem and got super super frosty and literally are sticky like glue!! I have well water so I use ph down after mixing nutrients to 6.2 - 6.3. I feed everywhere watering and water when needed once soil is dry and fluffy 3 inches down. Hope this rambling helps!
