Miracle-Gro Good or Bad???

I posted my first grow here

https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/296557-first-tent-grow-comments-advice.html

I have been informed that Miracle-Gro is not the best choice for soil. I have however had reasonably good results with it. I will try organic soils for my next grow but I still would like to get some more opinions regarding the Miracle-Gro soil.

I have a book called Buds for Less and the author uses it with some good results.

I would really like to get more opinions on the subject.

Me too. I'm on my first grow, in MG seed starting mix (5-1-5), and the only problems I've had have been underwatering.

If you use MG be sure not to overfeed it. Most of the MG soils come with nutes already in the soil that the plant can live off of for a while.

I mix my own soil but i use MG general lawn and garden nutes. They are 24 8 12. They are actually the refills for the hose sprayer thingy. The bag came with 3 packs, each pack is good for 50 gallons. Its a very weak concentration so i feel its safe to use almost every day.

I use the big bloom for flowering.

Nutes are no good for seedlings. Its like trying to give your newborn a steak salad. Its just too much for their delicate systems.

i fried my very 1st plant in MG Moisture Control, mistakes were made that i know better now on
but MG does produce organic soils, i've been using MG Organic Garden soil
a pretty good organic soil, does have fungus gnats though and is pretty acidic
fungus gnats can be controlled pretty easily and dolomite takes care of the acidity
