Miracle grow

I have used it I the past for my first grow.

However when manually filling up my pot I tried to remove quite a few of the slow release pellets as I could.

Had good results with it as you can see from the picture below.

Also didn't have perlite on hand... but turned out ok

Jacks and miracle grow are far from the same. This is why you see a lot using Jacks but very, very few using miracle grow.
I don't recommend using miracle grow, far from it but that's what was available at the time so made due with what i had.
Managed to pull 110g dried from that one.

As for jacks I haven't tried as its not available here most I can find is Plagron or biobizz stuff locally

What makes miracle grow bad besides being owned by Monsanto? In comparison to others
Tbh I have no clue and my experience with it was not bad at all. I believe its just a stigma attached to it tbh. But then again I've only used it once for weed and it served me well from start to finish so no real complaints from me.

Miracle Grow historically used much lower quality salts than most of the current popular salt brands like Jack's, Megacrop, General Hydro, etc. Miracle Grow bears a lot of responsibility for spreading heavy metals across millions of backyards across America. Now, if you go and look up their individual products, there is a huge variability in heavy metal content. Some of them, including a lot of their new Organic stuff, are quite low in metals, while others are still just terrible. Go ahead and see for yourself-they've avoided posting results for a lot of products on the California database, but the Washington state database has the #s for a lot of their products. https://agr.wa.gov/departments/pesticides-and-fertilizers/fertilizers/fertilizer-database/fertilizer-company-lookup If you want to use Miracle Grow, look up the specific product in the database to be sure it's clean. They've cleaned up their act a bit, but not across the board.

If you want to use salts, the best there is, is to get you some PM HP mix, and mix it with 25% perlite, then use that osmocote plus, one cap full for every 2 gallons of soil, (mix it in good), and then just water 'n go, and I don't care what other salts you could use, what I just told you will grow you bigger plants than any other salt based mix out there! And you won't ever get a deficiency or burning with that stuff, just add 1/4 tsp of epsom salt per gallon of water every other watering! I am an organic grower now, but I have tried pretty much ever salt there is, and that osmocote plus grows the biggest plants! I included a pick from a grow where I was using osmocote plus!

Lots of miracle grow mixes, probably everybody has used the potting soil for a first grow, don’t know anyone who used it twice. The seedling mix is good but i only used it once.
