MJ Greenhouse 2009

Ok, so I have an old tool shed, that has been converted to a greenhouse. Its 10x10' and very very bright inside, even has direct sun. One skylight, two windows, and a huge door that locks. I plan on keeping the windows open for a while, to cool it. It is about 65 outside, and 80 in the greenhouse, so I truly think this will work. I also have power to the house, for any artificial light, and any fans I might need. Pain in the ass to run it, but its done.

Sidenote: tomorrow the house is getting insulation and will get either white fabric walls, or mylar walls, not sure yet.

4/12/09 - 6PM. Took one of my verified female Sativa rooted clones, and planted her in a 10" pot with Miracle Gro Organic Soil. Trying this new soil out, I usually go with Fox Farm Ocean Forest, but hell, might as well try something new. Clone is about 4" long, with 4" healthy roots. After planting, she went straight into the west facing window of the greenhouse, where she received full direct evening sun. I opened the windows today, and will leave them open for a few days, to see how well I can regulate the temperature within the greenhouse. I do not want it to get hotter than 90 in there during the spring and 100 during the summer. The thermometer works well so far, looks like I have a +20 degree change within the house.

4/18/09 - 6PM. Moved this grow inside. Its still too damn short of light outside for anything, even in the south. She has started to flower at 3" tall. I dont think so! So moved her inside, under 24/7 until she is a foot tall, then gonna decide at that time to 12/12 inside or put it in the greenhouse again.

thanks man, its real cool to have a little greenhouse. I cant remember what I paid for the storage shed, but it was under 800 bucks, and its a good size.

4/25/09 - 10PM. She was doing terrible in the 24/7 CFL lighting after a week or so. So, yet again I had to change the grow slightly. I put her outside, and will leave er outside until she is a foot tall, then either move her into the greenhouse or plant her outside. I noticed today, she is showing some pre flowers. Dammit, I want to veg this one, she is only 3" tall. Shit! Anyway, heres the latest pics.

S*** man, I am sorry that she is flowering on you. So far I have not had that problem with my two. Try increasing the N intake and leaving her in the sun all day for a week. Best of luck, I will be watching.

i cant wait to see how your greenhouse turns out! make sure you paint the walls white and dont get mylar. white is actually more reflective and you will save a buck or two

The white really helps. My greenhouse still looks almost like full sun even when the sun passes between it and a tree in the mid afternoon.

I am building a green house out of my old kennel panels for my dog. It is 20ft long and five feet wide so I have a hundred square feet to grow anything I want in there. I am working on some autos ak47 blue berry cross that I am going to put in there on the first. I am hoping for a couple females and a male that I can seed to have perpetual garden. I have tons of bubblegum clones that can go out there too.
