Mmmkay... what's this bizz about males pollinating the females and seeds...

I just can't get my head around this... All of the cautions about making certain to remove males from the grow or else the females will get pollenated and you'll get seeds... instead of bud...

Now here's the confusing part... Mmmmkay, where do "bag seeds" come from? You pull out a bud... you crunch it up to smoke it... and low and behold... some seeds are there. Wha?!?! Bud... yet seeds... i thought if the girl gets pollenated... you get seeds, not bud. If not you get bud, not seeds...
HELLLLLLP! This is bending my brain to think about it. Please explain.

If the buds (flowers) do not get pollinated, they grow bigger and bigger with more resin glands in an attempt to catch more errant pollen floating in the air... this is why we cull the males... so that the females stay unimpregnated and swell in delicious growth. If the buds are pollinated there will still be little bits of weed to smoke around the shell casings, but very little. So a pollinated cannabis plant produces both bud and seed, but mostly the latter. Hope that helped :)

the buds are the females' way of attracting pollen, aka the stuff that turns into a seed when the female plant is pollinated.

male plants just grow pollen sacks. female plants just grow bud. if the female makes herself sticky and budded enough, she might get lucky and receive some pollen blown in from a male. the seed forms within the bud which attracted it.

or look at it like this: bob grows testicles that send sperm about. jane grows ovaries which attract sperm. if jane primps herself up enough, she might be lucky enough to catch some sperm from bob, and bob's sperm will grow inside jane into a baby.

bob = male plant, testicles = pollen sacks, sperm = pollen, jane = female plant, wet pussy (replete with ovaries) = sticky bud, jane's baby = a seed.

as growers, we try to keep jane from getting pregnant, so that jane can grow up to be a big, healthy gal without being slowed down by having to devote her resources towards birthing a baby. more resources for the baby = less resources for jane, ceterus parabis.

metaphorically speaking, that is.

Thanks UncleBuck :-P (and everyone else who responded),

Just a couple questions on this...
A) Does Jane have a nice rack?
B) After she receives Bob's pollen, does she just get on with her business of producing bud and seeds or does she try to control the rest of Bob's life?

Thanks

and remember, a lot of weed is grown in huge plots where the growers are only looking for quantity and don't have the time or interest in getting rid of the males, so a lot of the buds are seeded...it's cheaper probably in the long run but you sacrifice on quality because the females are using a lot of their energy to produce the seeds.
