So im finally buying a moisture meter for my plants (should have a long time ago). but i was wondering how i go about using it... do i buy one per plant or do i only need one? and does the long metal rod damage roots if you use the meter daily... do i insert it at an angle into the center of the pot or what is best? any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks

You can use the same probe for all your plants. Try make one incesion in the soil closer to the stem of the plant rather than the side of the pot and try to use it as often as possible rather than stabiing new holes all over the soil. I think if you stabbed it all over you would end up damageing the root system and intern stunt plant growth or put them under stress.

I agree , there's no need to be probing every day just when the pot starts feeling light. Marijuana is vigorously growing plant, any consequent root damage will be compensated by the remaining roots in a mater of hours.
