Molasses / treacle ...UK?

Greetings :-)

Been looking into this and as far as I can see 'Black Treacle' is the UK equivalent of the US 'Black Molasses'. Both are from the 3rd pressing so far as I can find.

Quote:
Molasses is a thick sweet syrup, often used in cooking. It is a strong smelling and flavorful additive for cookies, breads and many desserts. The difference in the molasses comes from how many times it has been boiled during the manufacturing process. In Britain it is called treacle, a common term for thick liquids and a poetic phrase, as in treacle well"

Any confirmation of this please folks?.... I reckon Tate and Lyle could well have a run on the Black Treacle supplies :-)

meridian pure blackstrap molasses...... 1.65 a jar
Thanks del, I'll grab some of that :-)

thefirstissoon, I have used molasses for a number of grows now but not the blackstrap which is clearly the best quality. Generally from about week 4 to finish and just a small 'blob' in a 2 litre bottle most waterings. I also 'bubble ' my water for a few hours before watering AFTER adding nutes, PH down, molasses etc.
