mold on soil???

I was keeping soil in a rubbermaid, consisted of mushroom compost, peat moss, bone/bloodmeal... i have had no problems with mold growth, but this time when i checked the soil; because i was about to transplant, the entire top surface of the soil was covered with mold..

I have two questions.

1)Is it the extrablood/bone meal that caused/enabled this, or did having the lid on the rubbermaid cause this??

2) Is it any good?? If not, whats a better means of storing soil indoors?

like I said it hasnt been a problem until now, i guess it got too hot i did leave the oven on last night WOW! haha

there was condensation and i hadnt ever seen that before on the inside of the tub...

it could be temperature and/or not enough air circulations for thin white mold on the top of the soil or medium, if i'm not mistaken..
