LOL that totally explains it! He was on Good Morning Sacramento a few weeks back hinting that he may become a permanent fixture in Sac. LOL

Smells like publicity for the movement good or bad idk? pending his perspectives.

Will the feds go after one of their own Montel did use to be decorated ex-navy seal right? lol

Montel has a lot of pull and a ton of persuasion, he could be a huge influence to people on the fence when it comes to the issues surrounding legalization of medical marijuana on a government level, a possible super advocate for the medical marijuana movement not just another Hollywood stoner... C'mon man "Whats fame if you cant help make change". Seems worth the while to stay tuned to this one closely, to see how things transpire.

IMO it's a good think for medical marijuana. He's a clean cut, intelligent, respected and well-spoken celebrity that could lend some respectability and more mainstream acceptance. He still looks to be in military shape.

Hehe it's not like a Gary Busey or Charlie Sheen coming out in support of it! ;)

I was thinking that exact same thing! Is this going to be good or bad publicity.
Indeed. It could be a very good or very bad thing. Montel Williams is a very talented and highly regarded product spokesman. He's so good he can speak for big pharma and make them seem like an honest group with integrity looking out for the best interests of the people. If he can bring that to medical marijuana it would exactly what we needed. A public face that mainstream America trusts.

On the other hand he could be working with big pharma on this as a trojan horse bringing in their take over of medical marijuana. Not good.

I guess we will find out.

I do back up what you say how the Fed's will go after him, more likely to set an example. However it will come back "Oh, Montel has MS just leave him alone" and what I mean by that is his medical condition can maybe be used as a way to "Lighten people up" to show "Hey I'm not a bad guy, I just use it for medicinal purposes"

I think it will get ignored as he has MS and people are sympathetic. I doubt we will see any national dialogue on Montel being a smoker. Montel is a former Marine and an Annapolis graduate which will gain him credibility with the vast majority of Reoublucans and conservatives. He was not a SEAL. I think that it would be nice to hear more about this nationally as I found out here on RIU and not anywhere else. With more positive and respected celebrities like Montel we can make this a campaign issue for 2012.

After 22 years of military service he departed as a Lieutenant Commander is what I have heard. Not a SEAL but a very respectable history none-the-less. Also it's been a well known fact for years that he has been a smoker.

Talk radio mentioned yesterday that Patience Report: When they go to "Albatin Wellness Cooperative" Montel Williams Dispensary you must be counseled by the onsite Dr. which determines the med and the dosage… :?:

If legalized will all dispensaries operate and distribute med’s similar to a pharmacy like AWC.
Turn of the tide... I'm just wondering if Montel has some insight or knowledge as to how the government is planning to regulated Dispensaries in order to operate, and if this is a motivating factor behind the way AWC is handling their patient care.

Could all be just smoke and mirrors to gain approval by some of those that usually are opposed to MMD and get them to consider this kinda like a pharmacy.

I know he has access to Attorney’s & Govt. politicians the avg. joe or even the above avg. joe couldn’t afford/find, probably as friends at that.

I believe this story will be creating alot of noise in the near future, and due to Montel's celebrity status along with our current government debt, this wont just be about "Stoners tryna push weed" but
"The Plant that Elevated America" Figuratively and Literally.

In addition.
Last night channel 2 Bay Area news reported on a Chiropractor using and prescribing a topical spray extracted from MM to relieve head and muscle aches.
Every day its in the news some kind of way, The wave is coming...:weed: or :wall:

Doubtfully, it has something to do with Montel having a "martha" on the regulations, lol.

More like the fact that he is a well known person and knows he is going to be attracting LEO attention, so hes going to do things by the book as much as possible.

Please tell me you guys have seen that clip of montel high on his own show, right>?
I had before so this wasn't much of a surprise to me. I bet hes a funny dude to medicate with.

Okay, I just watched a video of him explaining how his club is run and I now am dissapointed. He starts off by saying " you see people going into clubs, picking up and smelling the medication with their hands, what is that?"

Then the narrator says that his club doesnt allow people to see the meds beforehand in glass jars, but first you must consult with someone and they will decide what kind of medication you need

So basically, good for outsiders to hear him saying that, people that actually medicate though, know they need to feel and smell their product to inspect its quality ...more misinfo...sigh...i mean he might think hes running it right but..

all in all its still good obviously. my favorite video is him saying " i will use marijuana every day until i die"

After seeing that onsite Dr they take the MMJ to the back and grind up a blend for you. Kiefing the bud and giving you the ground up remains. I will never go there. I wanna smell my meds, inspect the buds for myself and pick a strain regardless if they think it's going to work for me or not.

Grinding up bud breaks the trichomes and the quality degrades very quickly, like within a day. I only grind if I'm rolling and smoking right then

He plans to sell meds without allowing people to see them first? No way. Seriously? That's some funny shit right there. Hope he remembers to pick all the seeds out.
