Moonlight marijuana?

So i was wondering if you could simulate the cycle of the moon if it would have any positive effects?

:peace:
I don't know about the effect. But you could simulate the cycle of the moon very easy.

all you need is a low watt bulb. (maybe an old xmass light)
a timer you can program
and a voltage regulator so you can dim as it goes from full to new moon then bask up as it gose from new to full.

All on a 28 day cycle.

I read somewhere that the moon light produces .2 lumens per sq ft during a full moon. So half that for half moon, (it'd be the square of .2 right?)

i'm baked~:joint:

I wonder what Kelvin it is? Its the reflection of the sun, so maybe you could just do the same as the veg cycle just a lot less of them?

If you are looking to benefit from the phases of the moon, I believe the forces of the moon's effect on the earth are in effect even indoors. I believe it's gravitational.

Planting by the Phases of the Moon

+rep Johnny!
Is that Johnny Bench by chance?
That is real interesting. I didn't read it all but skimmed through the first bit that was talking about the gravitational pull and what not.
So now this is the ? i pose;
If you are an indoor gardener, as i and Randy are, and you were able to figure the lumen situation, i wonder if you simulated the light to the actual moon phase outside if it would be benificial?

My avatar is Ty Cobb. The greatest ballplayer in baseball history.
YouTube - Ty Cobb

The signature picture is the 1972 Topps Billy Martin baseball card where he's flipping the bird at the photographer.

Johnny Bench was a great player without question.

I am currently an indoor dude myself. It seems to me moonlight is very weak lumen-wise. I can't remember where I read it, but a rule of thumb for light leakage during 12/12 should be no stronger than moonlight. That suggests to me that light is not the answer, it's the gravitational effect.

Were you to attempt this, finding a weak-wattage bulb would not be a problem. The problem would lie in calculating the differing amount of light released daily to correspond with the phases of the moon.

It's an interesting thought, but I think it's probably overkill.

Ty Cobb was a viscious base stealer. If I smoked a bowl for every 2nd baseman he tackled, I'd be pretty high right now

Por Que overkill?
What if it could actually help set the schedule of flowering and sexing and what not and we didn't even know it? Where would growing be if someone didn't get high and say....
"Hey Randy I wonder if this shit would grow without dirt?? Fuck it lets try!"
Its the first step to a growing revolution!!!!:cuss:

ROFL
I'm high. Ty Cobb was a great baseball player, but all the old baseball cards players look very similiar to me for some reason. I actually didn't think that was Johnny Bench b/c i have a card of his and if i remember right it was in color. not sure though but he played in the late 50's early 60's yeah?

Wow? lol

He was a vicious everything on the diamond, and off, now that I think about it.

Just about everybody disliked him, but everybody respected him. Some feared him.

Overkill in the sense that if moonlight cannot stress plants for flowering purposes, the reflected light of the sun off the moon would probably be useless. However, you would benefit from the actual moon cycles just by being on the planet.

when i was seven or eight my grandpa took me to my second game we were in yhe cheap out fields seat and i caught a home run ball john bench hit. years later at my batchore (sp) party my best man was wasted and by mistake it was spray painted blue over the sign . afer my grandad and i waited at the exit 2 hours to meet him.

that was a good day.

What an asshole-riffic thing to do! Did you beat him with it? I think I would still be pissed off!

Do you still have it? I bet Bench would sign it again if you explained it to him.

Ok...ok...ok...well what if......the lights lumens and everything were low enough to......well like at night on a full moon per say, the light from that maybe allow the plant to grow......more resin..hairs...things of sexual nature...pistils and shit. It won't stress the plant but maybe it will caress her bossom and allow her sexxy female juices flow.....i love resiny ladies!

Why do you want to shoot down my dreams?

Brother, I'm not trying to shoot down anything. I am giving you my honest opinion. Don't ask the questions if the answers might disturb you.

It's an intriguing idea to ponder, but that's where you should leave it. I think it would be a wasted effort with no payoff, but I am by no means discouraging you.

You do whatever it is you think you're big enough to do. I'll support you.

i didn't mean it literally, sorry  i can't express myself properly with mere words. I need an etch-a-sketch!! That would do it.

I know its prolly nothing but i would be interested in seeing if anybody has tried it. And what if any part it would play in the plants life. I actually want some of those crazy smart stoners on here to actually figure out the math and shit and see if there could be any scientific supporting evidence to the light........what if you did the light the opposite of the actual lunar cycle???

I love you Johnny!

yell i still have it.

it was one of those things were were painting graffity on the wall in the basement and it just got painted. my best freind showed my right away it just happened a sray can got bumped off the shelf fell on the ball and covered the sign. it said "This ball was caught by Randy Xxxxxxx on (can't remember date) it is the 36th (may have been 38 or some other 3O'd #) Home Run Hit by (Then signed) #5 Johnny Bench

He also signed my glove printed by the this is an offical some kinda glove

"THIS IS AN OFFICAL GLOVE THAT CAUGHT A HOME RUN HIT BY" Then below that he signed #5 Johnny Bench.

I also mete Pete Rose, He just signed his name on the thumb of my glove. Joe Morgan signed the second finger. Sparkey signed in the palm (almost wore out the last time I saw the glove) Practace hard and one day you can try out for the Red's Skarky" 5 other player signed it all so.

I use the glove until I got in high school. Then years later i gave it to my coz he used it and to day his two boy use use as one of their little leuage gloves daily.

It's real cool and gets played with they now the history and what the signatures are that just makes it better. They have had about 5 or 6 more ball players sign it since it left me. from what I am told every one that signed it was told how grampa fumbled the home run ball but I snatched it away from him (it was on tv) it was also a game winning home run.
