I've never done it, but I'm pretty sure you want to make wine out of the strawberries. Just google "how to make strawberry wine?" I have a buddy who makes fruit wines all the time.

For firewater you use corn mash don't you? Again google "how to make moonshine" and then pass the bottle lol

To make fruit moonshine wouldn't you make fruit wine and then run that through the still.

My grandma makes wine all the time. My aunt, too. She made some blueberry wine once that would mess you up before you realized it. She made wine with hot peppers once to trick a guy she worked with. She never did. Left it in her fridge. One day my uncle is telling one of his buddies about it. He's was trying to be a badass. "I ain't scared. Bring me a glass." He drunk it and an hour later he started to get quiet and he turned pale. All of a sudden he just walked out and got in his truck and left. He said he almost shit all over himself.

You make the shine then add the flavor, here in TN somebody always has a nice bottle of Apple Pie, or Pine apple.
or thats one way to do it.
Just take ur jar of shine and dump pineapple chunks and juice in with it, let it sit n soak for a week or so.
Apple Pie is the absolute best, but a lady makes it for a few of us when we get a jar of shine. we drop it off to her come back in a couple days to our jar of apple pie moonshine. Tastes just like a pie.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Im not sure about distilling it with fruit in it though.

I have around 5 gallons of pomagranite wine waiting to be bottled at the moment. its pretty good stuff.

yeah a bunch of ppl have told me that and i just wanted to see if any one knew how to do it if its possible but i figured it was because you have to break down corn to make whisky so i still think you can but you discouraged me man lmao

My understanding is that there are two main ways to distill. The one that is more thorough (higher proof) will essentially remove all of the flavor of the fruit. If you do the lower proof way, there will be some of the flavor left. A friend of mine found out about an electric distiller that is sold to distill/purify water, but they give instructions to make a slight modification to get alcohol (and they explain that they are only giving you the info to let you know what not to do - because it's illegal). It costs about $200. I can get the info if you want. I'm thinking of getting one someday. I'd love to try different recipes - distilled blackberry wine, mead, etc..

Also, this is a bit off the topic, but it's definitely worth a try IMO:
There are tons of blackberries around here in the summer, and my friends and I have taken to picking tons every year and soaking them in vodka. Get a BIG canning jar (or any big container with a lid that you can come up with), fill it about half way with fruit (chopped up well, if using a larger fruit), fill the rest of the way with a decent vodka, let it sit for anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months, shake occasionally, pour it through cheesecloth back into the vodka bottle, and drink. Great stuff!!

Home brewer here too guys!

If you want to make real shine semi legally. Brew high test alcohol (you can get up to about 22% with the yeasts they have these days and then the magic part. Have a look around for certain water distillers. Alcohol evaporates at a lower temperature than water and there are some really clever water distillers (that's how they are sold anyway lol) that will then take your brewed alcohol and run it up to 85% and higher. It's illegal almost everywhere but these "stills" are being sold as water distillers so :P

I brewed a batch of high content alcohol using special yest a couple of years ago but even after running it through a half decent charcoal filtration system I found it lacking. Can't wait to be able to afford one of these distillers.

If you get 85% out of it you can use it as ethanol in your car without modifications on newer cars that support E13 and E14 and lets face it the price of gas isn't going down anytime soon.

For a special treat you can take all your stems, leaves, all that crap and throw them into a pair of ladies panty hose, Place those in a 1 gallon container and then pour in some of your distilled alcohol (if you don't want to get into that stuff then make some wine or use 151 or something) and let it sit for about 10 days. Alcohol dissolves the THC into your liquid which you can then add taste mixers too or chuck in some pineapple juice etc. and enjoy! Just remember it can take up to an hour for the effects of the THC to kick in.. but when they do.. woohoo :P

I just bottled my strawberry wine and I have some blackberry wine fermenting right now. I'm hoping to toss some in there towards the end :)

one of the reasons home brewing was criminalized was because of the potential to create your own fuel. it didn't sit well with the oil giants, so they went about their lie spreading and pulled a few strings in D.C.and voila. ethanol suddenly became a taboo and many people were convinced that ethanol was actually hard on a car's engine when in fact it was just the opposite.

if you can make a decent amount of ethanol and have a compatible car, you are going to save a LOT of money, and you are going to beat the enslavement that oil companies currently have implemented on almost the whole world.

and you can drink your fuel too! :)
