Most efficient ebb and flow medium

It usually comes off without much effort, but I've suspected C build up before my water is a bit hard.

yup, its called a barmaid. Works fucking great you can remove the individual brushes for diff. sized pots. Got mine for a lil over 100$ on ebay

edit: I like to leave my pots to soak in a bleach,dishsoap,water mix overnight before I wash em.

I'll check that out might not be a bad investment. If it saved me several hours a month and I didn't have to bend over to scrub pots it could totally be worth it.
