I don't buy it, there's no denying that Marc has been a big voice against prohibition, But he's not doing it for the greater good anymore, he's doing it for fame and fourtune. I know Marc and have had dealings with him, he's a wolf in sheeps clothing. He and Jodie where caught with $250k, and 300lbs of cannabis products, they aren't activists anymore they are business people.

You need some better role models if you consider Marc Emery your hero. Have you ever met him? He's one sketchy mofo. Legalization is coming, I'll wait, why can't he?

no matter who it is..he is standing up for YOUR RIGHTS !!

easy to sit back and say otherwise...what are you doing ?

point??

allowing the government to control it all at the expense and lives of sick people
what part do you miss?
What the Emories are doing has nothing to do with medical. Don't forget that the current government had nothing to do with the MMPR which had a great impact to med patients. The courts not the Emories made things right. Where were they during that fight? The current gov. Is in the process of legalization, and we all know that government move at a glacial pace, it should be no surprise that these things take time. I've moved on there are far more important issues that this planet faces.

I have met him once..just briefly. Not enough to judge him on. Him making a profit is no issue for me..good for him. He's the direction i'd like to see it go. NO LP's...other folks in this as we should be.
His wife seems a lovely woman imo. I can't believe how calm Mark stays...good for him.....yep like this guy. I usually assess folks on their direct impact on me...not on what others people like or not about someone. Not always but mostly.

I have only wonderful comments on his stores as well...push it mark...i'm behind you. Not good prices but there to buy and this is it for me.
Fuck Lp's and any Lp' dreams you may still have.

Of course they're business people, just like Chuck.Without dispensary owners pushing the envelope, Chucky and his slimy LP buddies will be our only source of cannabis. Marc built a business despite setbacks, as have others, and the public supports those businesses. Chucky and the poison pushers have built huge businesses too and their focus was never medical either. I'm not sure which other activists have done as much toward ending prohibition as the Emery's but remained silent about it?
I don't like them either but I my dislike of government corruption runs deeper. I will trust Marc over Chucky any day.

Because if they wait, there won't be any opportunity. The LP's and government are attempting to restrict access to the industry to benefit their old boy's club. They (collectively) want to be the sole source and without civil disobedience, they win. That means unless you have some government connections and millions of dollars, you too are out.
Question...did you ever use cannabis before you were medically legal? It seems hypocritical for you to condemn someone for breaking the law if you yourself is guilty...
Not trying to start an argument, I just don't get your blind faith in government or the Lp's
, neither who has any credibility in this anymore.

I'm not lime lighting, I don't need recognition for the work I do, I'm grass roots I'm helping the people to help themselves. I'm not disputing that the Emories fought prohibition, but I don't know how relevant their tactics actually are. I can't say that legalization is the result of the Emories. Lots of hard work was done behind the scenes that the Emories had nothing to do with.

They could easily hurry the fuck up if the greed wasn't in the way... don't be so naive. They ran into a road block.....us....the fighters and we won't stop. You can give in if you want. NOT ME

You're way too much of a Government Pant Antler Choocher for my taste......get some backbone and fight back. Or you still holding out to join the LP's like you were...haha...how did that go. What's that ?...not welcomed in with open arms huh???? And you still don't get it it seems. I've been right about all this all along....you see that yet?

I'm not medically legal. There's a lot of here say, as nobody knows what legalization will look like. Am I confident that the government will do the right thing, no. But I'm willing to give them a chance. Legalization or not, it's not going to change the way cannabis fits into my life, been 30 years so far and I've managed to stay out of jail.

Fight back against what? Legalization? Honestly I would prefer the olden days, commercial cannabis is going to destroy the culture. I'm not interested in mainstream cannabis. I don't care what other people think of my cannabis use, never have, never will, I'm going to do what I wanna do. I'm prepared to do the time for the crime. Catch me if you can.... I've changed gears, there are far more pressing issues in this world than cannabis now.

There's good Licenced Producers and bad, just like any other industry. You don't think that the Emories wouldn't become Licenced Producers if they had the option? They have changed gears for their own personal gain selling $14 grams. They are the same as most LP's in my book. They are just as shady and unscrupulous as the next guys, far from hero's.

Absolutely, helping people help themselves is the right thing. Not opening a store front and charging $14 a gram. That's not activism that's greed. If they were in it for the people they would be charging $5 for grams and flood the market, to free the weed. I don't buy it...

Yes the retail stores are WAY too high I agree with you there. Emery's included. But he is pushing the right buttons imo to get this moved forward. Once the storefronts get established the consumer will dictate pricing. Then the prices will lower. That's the game the lp's are gonna have to play too. Lots of competition is what's good for the consumer once legal.
The LP's will get a huge eye opening if this is allowed to be sold without a bias toward them. They will be in big trouble as i can sell for less than they can....to my local INDEPENDENT store...that's the way it should be. I'll settle for nothing less than a free model for all players. Otherwise expect civil unrest.
I like that Cannabis culture is scaring them enough to act this way...shows we are right to me.
