I would wait a while tell you toped it. when I had a mother I took clones off it for 4 to 6 months then I would cut The main and make a clone and bud the mother out.

its a mother. u are keepin it in a sustained vegitative state. much like a tree.. like the one in your yard.. you can do whatever you want to it and it will repair itself..
depening on where you live im sure youve seen the shit a plant can indure. you could cut it in 1/4. and its would be fine. you could probably step on the fucker and in a week it would be right as rain.. just mo

Good advice. It's true. A healthy cannabis plant can endure almost any kind of torture common in nature. I've read a handful of grow logs were the grower harvested the plant entirely leaving only that without bud and the plants re-vegetated just fine and were harvested 1 to 3 extra times.

Almost the exact thing I did this grow, vegged my mom for 3 months, took cuts let her repair, then topped. Two weeks later cut clones again. Been two weeks, I'll take 20 cuts in another week then flower her inside, clones outside. Now I just wish I had male pollen......

Where I topped her though she now has 6, soon to be 8 main colas that I let all catch up. These will be the only branches left when I flower.

Dont top it till its at the height you want it to be.
Bingo! Unless you are preparing this plant for a specific style of flowering aka LST, FIM, SC, etc then don't cut it's top yet. Also cutting a top does NOT stop the plant from growing upward, it only slows it down for a while and splits your main stem into two or more depepnding.

This train wreck was cloned (40 clones taken) then topped about two and a half weeks ago. As you can see, it most definitely grew up still. Had it been topped again it would have four main tops, one more time would give you 8 and so on.

my finger is touching where it was topped at btw
