mother plant flowering on 24 hr how can it ?

Got a quick question, I took a clone from a easy sativa to make a mother plant. Its 8 weeks old under a 224 watt t-5 cfl looking at it today the dam thing s is budding ? what the hay. the seeds were not auto's to start so why is this bitch flipping ? .............. what am I missing here. The only thing I can think my have triggered the flip is I put her under a couple lower 100 watt bulbs for a few days while I set up my a new veg tent then back to the high intensity t-5 ..........maybe I answerd my own question ...lol ...........would that cause the flip ? light was still on 24 hrs a day ............. dam there goes my new mother plant. more bull shit messing up my grow plan..............
