Mother Plants in 5 Gallon Buckets with 6" Net Pot Lids

I am going to put my mothers in soil. 5 Gallon buckets with 6" Net Pot Lids. Do I fill the net pot portion with hydroton like my hydro or should I also put soil in there too?

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what you're asking. So.

I had my mothers in 6in pots with soil, they got rootbound so I moved them to DWC.

All I did was, gently knock off any soil that comes off easily (don't get aggressive). I prepared a 10in net pot by lining the bottom with a layer of hydrotom, set the plant in the 10in pot and filled with hydroton (covering the soil).

I then filled the 5 gal bucket, with a weak solution of nutes, to the bottom of the net pot...and away she went.

Hope that helped

You don't use the net pot lid with soil. Just fill the bucket with soil, and try not to use white. Dark colors are better.
