Moving plant in veg between HPS and Fluorescent cycle 18 hrs

Has any one try to grow a young plant under 12 hrs of HPS lighting and then move to Fluorescent for remaining 6 hrs of lighting, to provide the 18 hrs needed for the growing process?

thats what i do seems like streessing them though till they hit 1212 they arnt happy but i dont do 18 6 i got my closet 12 12 then a caabinent with 150ow hps when the closets on i try to put everything in the cabinent in the closet u kno saving alil maybe not though idk cause the stressing idk
